I'm a decently harcore console gamer, and while I enjoy the occasional RTS on PC, all my shooters ar console only. Mainly it's because that's what I was introduced to, and I usually don't see the point in buying a whole new gaming computer to run stuff when I have a 360. But now that my PC grows old, and with vista coming out...it's the perfect time to use Halo 2 Vista to transition me from my console only ways to a more mixed gaming backround. Mainly because I can play ranked stuff and what not with a controller, but I can start getting used to a keyboard/mouse in smaller more persanol games.
I really think that this vista port is worth it, because of the mapmaking...I mean, how fun would it be to be like "man, the spawns on lockout are pissing me off, that guy just gets headshot after headshot...better go change the spawns to what I think would work better." . Besides, it will be fun getting into PC gaming, because games like oblivion are much better on PC, and so if I can learn to play PC games more seriously, I can play those as well as any console game.
So yeah, it's just a port...but it will keep the fresh content I need to get me through the year from the earlyish 2007 Halo 2 Vista release to the distant Halo 3 luanch in WInter 2007.
