When H2V is released the game will be 26 months old which is a freaking age in the games industry and Halo 3 could be two to three months from completion and catching it fast. Graphically when compared to other Vista titles such as Shadowrun, UT2007 and Resi 4 all three leave the current H2V build in there dust look at the screenshots and you'll see what I mean. What I'm trying to say is will if the way things stand remain as they are until launch in January mean that H2V will look like the pup of the VIsta launch line-up.

...to the point where I'm not as concerned about H2PC.

It'll come when it'll come. Bungie won't change anything no matter how much you gripe about it, and people will still buy it regardless.

it needs an extensive going over at this point a straight port may work three years ago but not now

RIP Halo 2.

Teh higher resolution helps point out the awfully low-res hand texture in FP.

If Bungie is taking so much time developing H2PC, then most likely there will be some graphical tweaks made to the game engine. I wouldn't be surprised if they incorporated some of the new technology being developed right now to make H2PC a graphically gorgeous game.

Here's My Post if you don't want to look.
The screenshots were kinda crappy but the graphics, were basically good, however, they need to improve the texture quality and mesh poly count (model details), as well as make the bumpmapping more real, for the pc.
Thing is, bungie is busy with both H2 Vista and Halo 3, so they probably won't spend the time. Though it's not hard to do, and I'd volunteer to do it for them.... for free, hell!!! Just to do Halo 2 Justice on the PC.
Hopefully they don't keep H2V closed to the PC modding (not the cheating/cheaters!!) community. So we can go in and make H2V look awesome... I'm probably going to do a mod to improve graphical quality not long after i get the game.
PS: The video's look better because they are a lower resolution.

Who cares how it looks. I personaly don't care if it looks better than crysis or not. What I care most about is how it plays, and what I can make it do.

Ah, Pacman, now that was a game.

Personaly I like games with a good story. With well thought out and rounded characters and lots of suspense and intrigue. Not many games nowadays have a compelling story, even the RPG's which are supposed to (since they usually don't have a whole lot of fast paced action)

Tip: You will NOT get your Halo 2.5. Y? Because they want to Port halo 2 to the PC, not make a whole new game. You can whine and beish about the "crappy" graphics and "spitty" physics, but Who FIN CARES! If you dont like the graphics and physics, then GET OUT! We in the Maw hate whiners and people who complain about the material things in our games.
