Subject: What did the forums look like...

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

...before the new hotness layout? If someone has a pic that would be great. Also did members from a few years ago like carry through the new layout or did it delete all members from the forum or something?

I don't have a screen cap handy of the old b.net, but for the other question once the site switched over to the passport system everyone had to make new accounts.

Just click on the link I provided above! Then type www.bungie.net and it'll hook you up.

Doesn't work...

You have to realize that most people on bnet aren't as smart as you, lol. Any whoo... Here's a screenshot of the old site, now you don't have to search for it: Link

No they didn't. Bungie.net switched over to the passport system in 2002 or 2003. My account has existed since 2001. All you had to do was link your bungie.net account to a Passport account; people who didn't do that by the deadline got their name changed to "NoPassportXXXX" and their account was deactivated.

All existing members got carried over when the New Hotness hit in 2004. The only time you needed to make a new account was in November 2001 when Bungie.net got a redesign and stopped being a Myth stats site and turned into a Halo and community news site.

Wow, the site looked like crap back then (no offence, bungie =P)

Do you think we'll get a new hotness II anytime soon?

Wow, the column looks like crap now (no offen"s"e), lol.

With the new site the forums became somewhat better, because you didn't have to click on a link to see just one person's message. Which you used to have to do on the old site, take HBO for example. But the 7th column suffered dearly with no databases and what-not. Whats done is done, it doesn't really matter anymore, especially since its been 2 years since the new hotness.

Want to imagine what the old forums were like?

Picture a bunch of clouds bathed in light. Now, in these clouds, are a bunch of unicorns, angelic beings, and rainbows.

And then, forget everything I just said, and imagine a generic forum that's white and a burnt orange color. That's what it used to be like.
