Are the moderators volunteers, or are they paid by bungie?

There are only two moderators at this time. However I guarantee more will be needed as the H2 release date looms. This site's boards are smaller than many big-name forums which require many times the manpower to keep regulated.

Actually, the plan is that Bungie is going to give stosh and I special potions that increase our brain capacities and grow four more arms out of our sides.

Through the last three months before the release of Halo 2, stosh and I are to undergo a campaign of hard physical and mental training. It will mark the return to "Camp Redmond," Bungies secret "moderator development camp." Ever wonder why there are only two mods at bungie.net? Stosh and I were the only two strong enough to survive. And stosh nearly lost an arm to the anaconda.

After the new appendages have successfully grown, and while we train, Bungie will be sporadically introducing mechanical augmentations to our already impressive physical prowress. The act of augmenting our bodies with mechanical support will be long and excrutiating, but will improve our strength twenty fold and our reaction times to beyond current comprehension.

The entire project, dubbed UberMod, has a 2% survival rate.

Not really. I tend to make myself pretty clear when I feel as though I'm being "bugged." What fun is a forum if the moderators are all lofty and above the users? I'm a Bungie fan too, you know. ;)

OR, if you really want to improve the Underground, you could spend less time complaining about it and more time creating your own noteworthy posts, and set a good example for the rest of the forum. =)

Simply complaining doesn't fix anything, after all.

Yes that would be a good idea, which leads to a question of mine: Is a competition with prizes a good/acceptable post

A post that, because a mod thinks is so good, is essentially "stuck" at the top of the first page, making it so it can't be forgotten from a lot of topics being replied to

To become one? It has to be good enough; take an example from Rip's right now, or Sketch's. It's just a post that can, if we as members reply to it, have a wide range of replies and thought being put into it, or simply just something that needs to be shown to everyone
