Will Halo 2 for Vista lag? Xbox Live doesn't really lag or does it?
there is lag everywhere, and halo 2 xboxlive does lag, the reason there isnt as much is cause it only supports ethernet cables which means DSL or faster, no dial-up, i suspect halo 2 pc will lag just as much as halo 1 for pc, unless there is some program bungie puts in place where u cant play if u have dial-up or sumting, and lag doesnt nessecarily mean bad connection, could just mean someone is far away.[Edited on 8/27/2006]
Everything, and I mean everything, lags. There's no stopping it. However, H2V will have a much more improved netcode than that of HPC's and hopefully won't be as bad as we won't have to lead as in the first game.
Will a 128 Kb per sec modem work properly with Xbox Live?
If u hotwire it.
What hotwire?
lol, ive known some ppl on xbox live who "hotwire" their xbox's so that they can play with dial up, but when they join servers it crashs alot. my advice, get highspeed or higher, and dont settle for DSL or dial up

Like Spartacus said, hopefully they won't support 56k. I know it sounds kinda mean, but look at the H2XBL performence, it's not lagless like split-screen, but you don't suffer as much as in HPC when you have dial-up or low speed connection or if someone else does. While I do not know if there will be any type of network service requirements, I sure hope that we won't have to lead shots in H2V. I'm sometimes so dissapointed when I get four conscutive headshots and the person is still alive.
