Pretty much any router works so yeah linksys is great also d-link or belkin I really like too

My friend uses a hub and a bunch of people that ive talked to use a hub, when i get xbox live ill use a hub, but i have a hub hooked up to a router!

you can not use just a hub for xbox live. it doesn't not have a wan port. there are ways to use a hub but it is easier and better to just go get a router. as i've said many other times i highly recommend linksys products.

Well you obviously have to have a router to regulate the internet connection. From my router I have a hub splitting my connection to my PS2, GC, PC, and Xbox. I don't recommend splitting the connection for use if your on a low end broadband service, though.
