Just wondering.

I think they would get a ton of them. I few times I'v thought about PMing a mod but didn't becouse I didn't want to bother them, or just add to the spam they already get.

And VERY sorry if I posted this in the wrong fourm, I'm not quite sure where it belongs....

Probably like millions. Every second some one is sending them something whether it's spam, hate note, a thank note, chapter invite, ect. Probably about 60% of the PM's the get they don't even read.

Don't be afraid to PM a moderator- they are just people, they won't get angry.

TGP has even said he doesn't receive all that many nowadays.

Ach! Was ist los?

I don't get too many, but too many of them are group invites.

TGP told me he gets about 20 to 30 a day.

Also on some pictures here on bungie, you can see sketch with 30 messages.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

Awhile ago someone said Shishka has 7000 messages. Either he gets alot of them or is too lazy to delete them. I've never PM'ed Shishka, so I don't know. Recon responds quickly(thanks Recon) so he at least isn't overwhelmed with PMs.

Furious George: The new -blam!-

I often stop myself from sending them information about spammers, trolls, and flamers for the sake of not annoying them. I don't want to be a 'rat' in their eyes either. I don't want to be a bother. On the flip side to that whether it deals with a forum or not (I've PMed mods about stuff completely irrelevant of the forums: I've asked Recon about "club" advice, managerial advice when I was promoted to manager at my job, etc. and I always get a same day response)

Whether I send any mod a PM dealing with the forums or otherwise, I get a speedy response and quick action is taken.

Like I said, I just don't want to bother them.

You try that, and the pigs finish what the dogs don't do.

IRT Underdog: it's generally better to keep us informed of spammers and trolls and whatnot; we don't always spot everything right away.

Oh I know, I just don't want to annoy you all and have you consider me some kind of "forum rat". I'm much more content being the forum underdog, because nobody notices me. :'(

Way too many, because none of them ever answer from what I hear.

Location: Outlaws' Summit.

Reiginko said that (when he was a moderator) he recieved about 5-20 daily.

But ..........then again it ultimately depends on how often the moderator posts, or how well known he is that determines how many PM's he'll get. Or at least it seems that way.

It only makes sense that a moderator who is at least well-known gets PM's about Spam, right? Sometimes even when I know a certain moderator is on, I subconsciously report something to a moderator that I see in the forums daily, as opposed to one that I simply know the name of, and nothing more.

I assume this is what it's like for them. I mean, if we never see one post, we won't think of them being responsive (or even on for that matter) when we have an issue.

This is why I've been sticking to bnetmods@gmail.com as of late.

On days that I post a bit, I can get around 5-20. On every other day, it's like 0-3.

Apparently too much.

They never return my messages.

Moderator/Piggyfool P.M. interaction consists of two things:

1. Them telling me I'm blacklisted.

2. Me either asking a question or reporting a spammer, and not getting a responce. :(

I don't get any P.M.'s. I used to, now people consider me a boring jackass.

Except for spam PMs to the mods(to let them know about an infraction), they have always answered mine. Though I havn't sent too many, about 7/10 answered.

Uh, stosh: Hawt chicks + Internet = ugly old men.

  • 08.27.2006 8:37 PM PDT

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Usually, I only get one or two a day at the most, and they're almost always responses to a warning I gave. Oddly enough, I never received that many spam invites. I guess no-one loves me. :(

I have gotten 5 pages of PMs since moderatorship.

This clearly involves some definition of "PM" that was not in my field manual.

A rough translation would be "rudely reject with extreme prejudice".
