Are you serious?

Auto-Aim was one of the things that makes Halo 2 not as good as the original. I dont think there is a single FPS on PC with auto aim. It would kill the game right off the start, and it would definitely not get my money.

So, I bet your going to start asking now, "LIEK OH EM GEE WE SHOOD HAVE LIEK REALY BIGER HITBOXES LOL IT MAIKE EASIER OMG."

No, no no. No auto aim on PC.

Okay, what I think is that they shouldn't have put so much auto-aim for the Xbox version, just a little like in the first game. But that's irrelevant, because we're talking about the PC version.

and that auto aim will continue to cuoshin (sp) him until he has enough expierence to be compent without it

What the hell does that supposed to mean? Is there a "Turn off auto-aim" option in Halo 2? I think not! It's always going to "cuoshin" him because you can't turn it off. Besides, we're talking about Halo 2 for Vista, people will be using a mouse and keyboard and thus auto-aim is unnecessary. ImSpartacus, only noobs like you would need auto-aim. :P

If there is no auto-aim playing with a controller will be next to impossible.

And for the record everyone, Halo 1 had less auto-aim because there was no online play. Ever tried playing Halo 1 on XBC or PC? You have to lead your shots alot, but in split-screen you don't. Halo 2 was designed with everyone in mind, not just the people that can perfectly lead shots depending on lag. You shouldn't have to do that to play the game online.

Well, yes, but this is H2 Vista. Everybody will be playing with a mouse and keyboard, and if they're not, then they have a deathwish.

Ok so they have support for the controller, but do you really think they're going to say, "Ah well everyone is going to be playing with a keyboard and mouse, I mean how could anyone possibly want to play Halo 2 with a controller? Let's just forget about the controller and make this only fair for people who use keyboard/mouse." Just because you are going to play keyboard/mouse doesn't mean everyone wants to.

And if Halo 2 Vista can detect if you're playing keyboard/mouse (which it obviously does, as you can see it says press (xbox button symbol) in the video), there could easily be a way for auto-aim to be enabled when playing with a controller, but disabled with a mouse.

If people are going to mod Halo 2 again, I doubt they're going to want the little auto-aim that comes with the controller, they're going to make it 360 with all their other crap that helps them feel good about themselves.

Halo 2 has it's level of auto-aim because there are people from around the world that play this game, it could probably have a little less and still play fine, but if you drastically change the auto-aim, it would be very hard to shoot people and hit them.
It is already to get shots to register sometimes, if someone's head is sticking very close outside of a wall and you snipe them in the head, their head will flash yellow as if you shot them, blood will come out, but they won't take any damage, it also happens from long ranges with alot of other weapons.

Well maybe Kim should get the sniper first :P
Yeah I know what you meant, I was just throwing that out there.

You don't need auto-aim, it's a PC game. The auto-aim was too high on H2, but I still liked the game, but you don't need auto-aim for a mouse.

If the only reason Auto-Aim shouldn't be in H2V because noobs think they're better than anyone else, doesn't seem to be a strong point compared to the dozens of benefits that Auto-Aim can bring to 56k'ers and people with low upload speeds. Playing the game easier is better than not playing the game at all.

Screw that, I've got a 56k connection and I don't need no stinking autoaim - I can own 3/4 of the people on the EU-Bungie servers easily.

Do you really think the Autoaim is going to help laggy 56kers? It won't. Not even an aimbot helps them.

I resent that remark.

ok so if halo 2 is 'the only game with an auto aim' then why do u think it was so popular

yes u can say 'it was just a series, everybody loves halo', but after johnny gets home from his friends house after playing halo 2 and being 'good' enough to compete with his friend, wat do u think he wants? halo 2, and that auto aim will continue to cuoshin (sp) him until he has enough expierence to be compent without it

It was so populare because some noob could pick up a controller and start playing the game easily.

And I never said it was the only game with auto aim, but it does have MASSIVE auto aim when compared to Halo 1 Xbox.

And thats bs about being able to play without auto aim, if you play Halo 2 for a month straight as in the only game you play, then try to play Halo PC or Halo 1 on XBC you will suck utter balls.

And try actually spelling stuff right, using capitalization, and punctuation because I almost gouged my eyes out when I read your post. You sound like an 11 year old typing on AIM for the first time.

Well duh. Controller.

Hey guys, if you guys don't know, you can use the sniper rifle to lead your shots in Halo 2. The whole shooting 2 inchs infront of the enemys face in halo PC.

Why is leading your shot a bad thing?

I don't think a sniper in realy life would have auto-aim. He/She would have to be awar of every variable. Such as wind speed, movment of the person, or thing he/she is shooting at.

If there is auto-aim then your not really using skill to shoot, your letting a computer do it for you. Without you have to lead your shots accordingly to the movment of the other player, and take in account for the amount of lateracy.

I think it was dumb to put it into Halo 2 becuase that means it will have to be there for Halo3. I find it just pointless anyways becuase it makes dodging a bullet almost impossiable.

In my opinion that just makes it a toned down Aimbot.

The only people who need autoaim are the ones who have no hand/eye coordination, or just plain suck.

Ah!, finally you and i agree on something! It is true that I need Auto-Aim more than your average Haloist...

...But i'm still not gonna use it...

so to whoever started this thread, take some advice from the only person who would have had an excuse to start it...

DON"T EVER COME HERE AGAIN!!!!
