The Underground is (currently) the melting pot of the b.net forums. While the Halo PC'ers have a forum, and the b.net support forum is there, everything else goes into the Underground.
And guess what? That's fine, for now. People are going to want to brag about their Halo skills. This is just as good a place to do it as anywhere else. People who try to post simply to get attention are reprimanded as soon as stosh or I find the thread.
And there are people here that don't necessarily have a Halo 2 related topic to talk about. Some people want to discuss something related to the first Halo. others still have asked questions about Bungie's previous games. This is just fine.
For you, fossie, I have two suggestions. First, if you don't think a thread is any good, don't read it. It's that simple.
Second, don't make posts like these. You're not a moderator, and posting only to complain to others how they post does nothing but adds to the mess. Essentially, I see this thread you've started as part of the problem. YES, there's a lot of junk in the Underground, NO you don't have the right to tell people what they can and cannot post. There are literally thousands of posts made every week, because we're not discriminatory towards who can and cannot post. Right now, the majority of that goes to the Underground, because there's nowhere else for it to go. This will change, but for now, I suggest you just cope with it.
