There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who know binary, and those who don't.

maybe its been said but i didnt see it.

the whole deal with halo2.com. by now we all know what it means, "all your base are belong to us and we love bees". It would seem that bungie is at it again, proposing some riddiculously obscure puzzle for us to solve. the setup seems too coincidental for me to completely believe at face value.

I assume that if you were to solve the riddle which is presumably associated with ilovebees.com and allyourbase.com, you would gaiun access somehow to some new halo 2 content in some way shape or form. someone would surely figure it out, and then come and post how to find it here.

unless, of course, this completely legitimate, official content was deemed "pirated". Anyone who posts it here has their post deleted and they are banned. agreements have been made with other forums to do the same. no one can spread the secret.

to furhter support this, look at the piracy article. it seems completely and totally laughable. There's hardly a tone of seriousness in the whole thing. Also consider teh proximity in which all of these sudden events occured. One day the source code is stolen, and the next day halo2.com starts going crazy?

i'm not trying to make this a thread towards solving the riddle, but merely a place to shape the true picture of what is going on in this relative chaos. if anyone has anythign else to add about it, say it.

and of course, theres always the possiblity that its all just nothing, but which do you believe?

allyourbase.com has been up waaaay before halo 2 was even thought of. Its an older game derived in japan. Later it came to the USA, but it had to be translated.. and i believe when you beat that game the guy which is shiskas and makas avatar comes on saying "all your base are belong to us" due to the poor japanese translation...

bungie is mocking this as if the covenant is coming to earth and claiming it belongs to them...

i know the history of allyourbase.com

what i dont really know is how you made that connection. what i can see in the two sites is that they are both somewhat confusing and random gaming-related sites, and thus they could be meaningless. but thats just not like bungie. it has to be something more. maybe its even a microsoft effort. after all, they (i think) are behind the very riddle-ful secret of the Better Bard of growing fable fame. the idea behind it was hinted at in the game, and then the man actually appeared on xbox.com forums, hinting via encrypted lyric about how to access intricatedly hidden areas and enemies.

I believe that the answer is hidden deep inside ILB.com Bungie is just playing with our minds. In fact at i love bees .com click on the word "you" On the transmition when your first load. It goes on about someone stealing something from the queen. Could the queen be bungie and the something be the code. I think that bungie is just sending out another riddle.

first off...go away matt.

now personal rivalries aside, yes i think you're right. It will naturally be riddle upon riddle upon riddle. infintely many possibilities abound about different symbolisms and hidden meanings. what we ahve to do is figure out which are there for a reason, which are there just because they are a part of these sites, and which are there specifically to throw us off. the theft from the queen does seem to play into the whole piracy effort entirely too well tho.

Yeah, that's kind of obvious. But I think they just said that to get this whole "riddle" thing started. I agree with you, Matt, that there is something hidden within ilovebees.com. It could be anything, but I think there is something that's being kept a secret. That website is seriously messed up, so I'm not even going to bother trying to figure it out. Though, I did check around on allyourbase.com. Nothing was noticeably out of the ordinary.

And, on another note, has anyone actually reported any of the piracy related threads? I haven't seen any; no one I know has seen any, either. I'm definitely not asking to see them or anything, but if no one has actually seen anything, then this guy is probably right. After all, if no one is trying to spread the leak, then there probably isn't a leak in the first place, and that basically proves him right.

Are we not suposed to talk about it?

we're not supposed to talk about the renegade threads. but if no one has seen of any of them, then surely something is amiss.
