I think Iggwilv said that. I don't know, ask him.

Oh and to ViolentDuck, integrated cards may be worse than top notch graphics card, they're still decent enough to play with. I have a lower version of what k121widowmaker has, but my graphics are ok.

Pick up truck?

I got the same card, and I really like it. It's fast enough, affordable enough, and it's actually rather quiet. Not like the sic dual card setup my uncle has. That thing sounds like a leafblower...

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

2x 7900gtx in one

x850xtpe (agp) in another

9800pro in another....

then I have a ATI 7500 and a Geforce 3 collecting dust somewhere...

I play 90% of Halo on the x850xtpe, great card...

Yeah I said the 9250 was the pickup truck of video cards. It ain't all that flashy but it will get the job done and can handle most games. In the 64MB cards the Ti 4200 used to be the "pickup truck" but it can no longer handle the new games.

Well I got a nVidia 6600 was I used to like until I got my new monitor, and now I want more power. Dammit Scotty! I need more power! Anyway I'm waiting until the second wave of DX10 cards are released, the first wave will be too expensive.

Wow, you guys have the $$$$. It's been a tough sell to get my parents to even think of an outdated Radeon X1300.

That's parents for you. Most of them can't tell the difference between a CPU and a GPU.

I've been using my factory issued Integrated Intel card, 64mb. I recently discovered that I could run Halo with all effects on, including specular, but it lags like the lines at the dmv. Someone tell me (please don't yell, I just want a quick opinion), is this magical or what?

Me too. I use an Intel 82845G, and I can put all my graphics settings high (except decals, and resolution, that's always at 640x480), and my graphics are decent enough for eye candy, and my framerate is high enough for smooth gameplay.

I have a Radeon X1300 with 256 MB of RAM. I got an ATI because I really didn't like the last GeForce I had.

And it was on sale.
