Make it so matchmaking is there but you can choose through a list of servers of other games you want to play in. AND make it so not just your friends and clan members can join custom games.

What? Hell yes! Besides, I'm pretty sure they mentioned there'll be matchmaking in Halo 2 Vista in the Bungie Weekly Update. I hope they add a mouse/keyboard friendly interface to it.

Minjita, wtf are you talking about? Matchmaking is fine.
Noob, it was a great idea on the Xbox, and it worked.

Yeah man, that would be great for H2V. The main reason I can think of is it would separate the custom games (mods, unofficial maps, user made hacks) from the ranked games meant for competition. Also, you wouldn't have to worry about the loser tk'ers who use direct ip join game feature. And then you would be constantly playing against people who's abilities are near yours, so you're not discouraging others who might be new to the game altogether like I was when I first started.

Yyyeaahhh master kim. You being sarky?

Thing is, all my friends with it (this comes to 4, whom owned an xbox and halo2, and played online) all stopped playing it. This was for various reasons, but mainly because of lag.

Now they all have perfectly good internet connections, and can play anything else fine. But its pretty well known that matchmaking quite often put UK players with people too far away, like giving host to a US person.

Matchmaking also doesnt give you much choice of what you play.

If you do a little research in the forums you will see that its a fairly big problem for UK players.

Dont call me a noob, because chances are if Im on about something, I know more about than you do.

Hello? You're referring to peer-to-peer gaming, which has nothing to do with matchmaking. We're going to have dedicated servers for matchmaking, if I'm correct, so that problem is moot.

Good thinking, Recon. I was thinking of the same thing.

Matchmaking is a good idea but on XBL lots of people cheated and hacked to inprov ther level (or at last thats what I took in from Bungie's updates). maibe if they changed things a bit to make it harder to cheat then it will be fun.
