Because, dude, your computer, to put it plainly, sucks. And dude, almost every computer is slow on Halo in some parts of the game, whether you have an integrated chipset or a GeForce 6600.

Hey, someone who has a 6200 OC AGP! But my 6200 is 256MB not 128. But my laptop(which is what I'm on right now)has a 7900 in it. Also, Halo only takes up 20% of my laptop CPU. ROCKZORZ! :P

Because you've got a 128mb 6200OC and halo PC's about as inefficient as a game can be. Upgrade or lower your textures.

Halo sucks on my desktop, it locks up occasionally, looks sorta blurry, and lags alot. And here are my desktop's specs:

Dell Dimension 4600
256 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 6200 OC AGP 256 MB
40 GB Hard Drive
2.80 GHz Pentium 4 processor
14" CRT Monitor

Halo work beautifully on my laptop, It does not lock up, It barely ever lags, and load times last at least 10 seconds, sometimes less. Here is all of my laptop's specs:

Dell Inspiron E1705
2 GB RAM
NIVIDIA 256MB GeForce 7900 GS Go, PCI-E format.
80 GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
2.16 GHz @ 667 MHz Centrino Duo T2600 Processor
Windows Vista Capable
17" Widescreen UltraSharp HD LCD Monitor

HUGE Difference. Halo works bad on the dekstop, and perfect on the laptop. Most of the time its the opposite, right?

Or you could turn off the particles if they're bogging ur system down.
