Subject: fav. covenant why?

I'm looking forward to the big, hairy Brutes. I think they'll be my new favorite when Halo 2 hits.

My current favorite Covenant has to be the Elites. I love to fill 'em full of lead and watch them scream and die in front of me. It ain't easy, but it's worth putting yourself in harm's way to catch the great animation as they go down. Also, it's great fun to throw a grenade or shoot at them while they're on a bridge (or the tower in AoTCR and Two Betrayals) and watch them sidestep off the side trying to avoid the blast or bullets. It's a long way down.

how is he bumping?

Actually he wasn't. You aren't really bumping when you post 1 min. after you started the thread.

Stosh is always here to watch over us, like one of those friends that you have to spend the night at your place only to wake up, seeing them look directing into your eyes...erm, I mean...*Nervous chuckle*

I love the grunts, because they have pretty funny stuff to say (next to Sgt. Johnson) and the fact that they're so cute. The black does not do them justice... :-D

I love the grunts, especially the one who sniffs at the begining scene of AOTCR, pure JOY.

I always thought that if you've made the topic inviting and interesting enough, there would be no need to bump.

And I didn't mean that in a bad way, I meant that in the nicest way possible. :-)

No offense, but this seems to be becoming a thread about bumping, not our Favorite Covenant and Why....

My favorite enemy is the elite with the energy sword. They are so frickin sweet. By the way, they are also easy to kill. Charged plasma shot, pistol shot to head. Simple.

I like the more skilled way of taking the gold elites with energy sword out. Like the one at the end of the silent cartographer, I take his shield out with plasma pistol, then it's all had to hand combat with punches. HAHA!

If they're the most annoying, they're the best kind of enemy; so here's a vote for the jackals. Grunts aren't much more than comic relief, and when is the last time two Elites engaged you at the same time? Jackals are a pain in the rear, but are easily the most fun to run over.

Don't worry, small talk has its perks, but there are people like you who keep a topic on course and that's good. The world is going to have people who make small talk and people who keep to the point, with the occasional mix. :-)

Actually, I had as many as about 4-5 elites attack me at once, but I was lucky to have some rocks and some marines to provide cover. This involves the 2nd level of Halo (named Halo :-D), and is rather simple to set up. After coming out of the big tunnel, head to the rockslide area (the one with large rocks around a plateau that has a marine with a sniper rifle) and trigger the first covenant dropship. After it's triggered, leave and rescue the marines in the other areas to pass the time while the rest of the covenant dropships drop off their load. After you're done with the other areas, return to the rockslide area and you'll find about 30+ covenant all there along the border of the rocks surrounding the plateau and they're all dying to say hello. Just thought I'd share that. ^_^

HBO had a link this this website back in the end of april, a complete site devoted to doing just this.

Oops, I forgot to mention that in my post. I had to explain it to quite a few people and I guess I just slipped up on this one in linking it to that. Thanks for linking for me! :-)
