its like a large force of win going through fusion, thus creating a chain reaction of a huge asplosion of win destroying any fail within its awesomeness.

It appeared in my address bar for some reason. What does this URL mean, as it just appeared for some bizarre reason, a few clicks before it was the regular Bungie.net domain, then suddenly it changed to "http://admin.bungie.net/." I'm using Firefox, if it matters. Can someone explain this URL to me. Thanks.

(And to answer your question, like I said above, It appeared on it's own.)

~FightingRaven531

Edit: I appears everywhere, no matter what part of the Bungie domain I'm in, it has the http://admin.bungie.net/ still in front.

Edit: It keeps doing it to, I'll open a new window with the regular Bungie.net domain, and a few minutes later, I find myself on "http://admin.bungie.net/" again.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Whoa. Did you do it on purpose, or did it just appear? I just did it on purpose. That's kind of weird. I've never heard of this before.

EDIT: It goes away if you just type Bungie.net into the address bar. You might have known that already.

I just appeared, I looked up so I can change by URL to visit another site, and I noticed it, but a few clicks before, it was not of that URL.

Oh wait, I can use it on Firefox too, I mishapped on the copy & pasting, either way, it appeared on it's own.

Send me a PM, for curiosity's sake.

the new bungie.net system only allows for moderators to properly fulfill their moderator abilities though admin.bungie.net. When they are there, they can click to edit post, delete post, etc and it will work, as opposed to while in www.bungie.net, where it won't.

Hmm...I put that in my address bar and clicked GO...it just returned me to B.net homepage, but it was still the admin.bungie.net URL. Weird...

Since it keeps happening, I would suggest creating a report of exactly what is happening. What browser you're using, exactly what you were doing, ect. That way, you'll have all the information ready if someone wants it. I know that in many cases, Achronos will ask you to send a report about what happened to the B.net bugs email address if he hasn't heard much about it before.

  • 09.01.2006 9:39 PM PDT

I discovered that a little while ago. I used it to feel "special", but then I realized that It screwed up the PM system. I don't know what difference it does, other than not getting PMs from people not using it.

Cortana 5 is a carbon-based lifeform that frequently visits these forums, currently residing in the United States. Practically every male on the site responds to her posts.

The Joyeuse IP Formula

I don't know if anyone has said this before, but probably those with admin (Frankie, KP, Achronos), use that url so they can edit and add stuff.

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

You shouldn't use it, it won't be as fast as the regular www.bungie.net (although you can't access anything you couldn't normally).

It is probably a passport related issue. I suggest logging out, and restarting your browser. If you can reproduce it automatically changing from www.bungie.net (you shouldn't use just bungie.net for the same reason - it will be a bit slower sometimes), send the report to bnetbugs@microsoft.com.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

That was a terrible joke. It didn't even make sense.

See?

My point was that ninja tools work regardless of whether or not we use admin.bungie.net, contrary to sir_brilliant's statement.
