no, under title you type "100% no lag" or some variant.

Or you get a dedicated server. Or you happen to have a good connection. Or the clients live near the host.

Noobtacular.

That's because they just kick anyone who brings El Laggo with em. There's no way to absolutely lag-proof a very fallable internet connection, even over T3.

The only way to make a game with no lag is to run a LAN. Other than that it's absolutely impossible to make a multiplayer game with no lag.

packets are always sent with a little bit of latency so no. Thats why you never go to a game and see 0 for a clients ping only host

no lol, sometimes if dedis are reset soo much the pings all appear as 0. Maybe you never notice you still had to lead.

BTW about making a game with no lag. This is how its done.

In halo when you see an enemy, the server already sees them a few steps ahead of where you do, so much must aim ahead to where the perspective of the server sees them. One way that alot of games use to solve this problem is to make it that depending on your ping, you actually (from the servers perspective) have to aim behind them to kill them, where they were a few steps ago, this way on your screen it looks like it is where they are now.

Counter-Strike Source however has overdone the amount on anti-lag and you have to aim slightly behind opponents, where they were a few moments ago, to kill them. It is more noticeable on 100+ ping servers. That is how sometimes you are killed 5 steps behind where you were standing.

All right, this is what you do King Sky. You start up Halo, click "Multiplayer", click "Create Game" and voila, you have no lag. :P Just have a very good connection along with the players around you and you'll have low ping.

Also, those retards who title their servers "lag free" in any way, shape, or form, have no idea wtf they're talking about because that's impossible unless you're playing in a LAN.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP TYPING IN LARGE CAPITAL LETTERS WITH A DOZEN EXCLAMATION MARKS AT THE END IT'S SO GODDAMNED ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!! SEE WHAT I MEAN???!!!!?!?!?!?

another way to have a lag free game is to play single player =þ

actually lan also has lag, but very VERY little of it.

CAPS WITH !!1!!1!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!1?!?!1?!1!!!!!!!!//1/1!! ARE VERY ANOYING!!!!!!!!!?!??!!!!!!!!!!!!?!111!!!!

Yes, LAN still do hve little lag, I still see people having to lead in LAN.

But I don't mind the leading, I always get 66 ping anyways =P (I have cable). Framerate is what you should be worrying about, you can have tons of lag, but at smooth settings and stuff. You just have to learn how and where to lead your shots.

And for the idea of shooting behind him based on your own ping (as in shooting directly at the enemy you see), I don't know if it's a good idea or not.

many many games already use it.

like counter strike, but its over done, so you actually have to aim behind them.

What is ping? I never got that part of the Internet games. Here's some questions:
1.) What is ping?
2.) What does that halo symbol next to the multiplayer games stand for?
3.) See #1 and #2.

I wonder if the Wolf thinks the Moon listens when he howls at it.

please dont double post and or make threads with all cap titles. Welcome to The Maw!! you really can't make game without lag, unless you have an T3 connection.

Ping is basically how long it takes for a signal sent from a client to a host, to return. Less ping is good.

Though sometimes it gets screwed up and I have seen instances of 0 ping, which I assume is a bug, as there most definitely is lag.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

well, there is only one way to get a game with no lag, and that is for you to host, but you will never get anyone else in there with you for a lag free game since you can only have 1 host.

Bet none of you have had a ping this low :P

Oh noes! The score screen has been haxxord!
I've had a ping in the mid 8000s.

Okay, here we go with the definition-up-your-blam!-:
Ping: The time, in milliseconds, that a packet of data takes to travel from your machine, through your modem, across the internet to the host, through the host's modem, into the hosts machine, and back.
Ping is affected by two separate things:
Bit rate: This is the maximum data transfer speed of your connection, measured in kilo bits per second (kbps) or kilo Bytes per second (kB/s).
Distance: This is the physical distance the packet must travel, including cable connections, telephone lines (dial-up) and satellite links. This is what most affects your ping, but a very low bit rate will greatly reduce performance.

I got all that from various things I've learned, info from Wikipedia, and various assumptions. If anything is wrong, point it out.
