This is no ones fault but bungies; is it so hard for them to create anti cheat software; because within a few months halo2 pc will be in the same circumstances (the aimbot for halo1pc took so long to come out as it took the makers a long time to get it to aim with the lead) anyway.. why cant bungie be more like Steam, who actualy do try to stamp out cheaters from their games (cs).. although there is many hackers on cs there is not as many as there would be without the steam anti cheat team.
just to clarify something for you, gearbox software created the halo pc *and ce* conversions, so... it was not really bungie's problem to create anti-cheat software for HPC. BUT for H2PC, they most-likely will be responsible to keep up the software, since the conversion is for the most part "in-house".
PS, why should Bungie mimic a diffrent company? why shoudl Bungie be like Steam? I see no problem with how Bungie does stuff. Look at what they have done with Halo 2 and Xbox Live, theyre constantly banning people for modding, cheating, and whatnot. I believe that they will carry that same idea over to H2PC.
