This whole post is in response to SimonJester.
Umm I couldn't agree more about the "push to talk" thing. That's what my set up is on the Teamspeak server and it works beautifully. Especially Tues. night it was really weird cause I think MAW~Omnios was recording with Fraps so his entire audio was coming to us and during the Plasma Party gametype I couldn't hear anything other than his gameplay ;(
The Teamspeak is awesome, it really is, but just make sure you use it properly. "Voice activated" setting in TeamSpeak is fine as long as your mic. is far away enough from your speakers and that the activation level is set high enough.
Actually on that note, even if you use the "push to talk" setting in TeamSpeak move your mic. further from your speakers. I was guilty of this at first until I moved it further. I don't have a headset so I have to lean over to get my mouth close to the mic but it's not that difficult. (The mic extends from a base). But ya, I'm probably looking into buying one soon enough, probably a high-quality headset/mic. dealie for my Xbox 360 once I get it. Anyways, if you don't do this the speaker sound goes into the mic. creating a really annoying echo, and sound loop.
Finally, Jester I must say to your final comment that it's not that easy to switch into the CTF teams in Teamspeak. This requires minimizing Teamspeak and switching it yourself once a new game starts. This loses you valuable seconds and I'm sure by the time you return you'll have found your flag gone :( Now if we ever had one of those Blood Gulch CTF marathons that we had a while back then we could do this, but not otherwise. As well, I personally find that Teamspeak is good for communicating game stategy to your teammates, but I also enjoy listening to the enemy, like the opposing team in CTF, or in regular Slayer, and hearing their taunts, and responses when you surprise them out of nowhere with a silent kill ;) THAT'S the part I like about TS.
P.S Igg for tommorrow, some "normal" gametypes....please?
