I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

When do they say this? Please give an example, for I have never seen them say "your post sucks". They disagree with some opinions, but they usually support their own opinions quite well.

They locked it for spam. You're now making another post about the same topic. Get it in your head. You're almost becoming a troll now.

What a surprise that the last thread got closed...my problem is not with individual mods or mods as a whole...they serve a purpose..they over see the site and keep it running as smoothly as possible...however I do have a problem when they come down on another user's opinion openly on the forum...if the person has broken a ule thats one thing but to just pop in and be like "Youre post sucks" there is no place for that...

I remember how you posted something similar like that because I stated an opinion. When I say "your post sucks" it's because that's my opinion. If you say "you're post sucks" that's your opinion. And as long as it comes with a reason, and isn't a flame, there is nothing wrong with it.
The problem with you is, that you believe us moderators are "above" the rest of you. Which is not true. The only time we are to be considered a moderator is when we enforce the rules.
You have one point though: there should be less flaming in these forums.

So it's just a mental thing, then? That's your issue, not theirs.

Its not about whether or not the opinion the express is valid or if they have strong support for it..its been stated that if a mod says something you agree with you wont take exception to them having an opinion...Im not of that mind..Id ont think it makes sense to have a moderator that can ban pple actively engaging in the community at the sametime...maybe if they had the ability to "switch" off and go to normal font or have a seperate login for personal use then it would make sense...but even then it would just be a case of not knowing...i just see it as a conflict of interests...

Bungie.net is not your local "CheapForums.com"...they are organized and structured the way Achronos wants them to be. It is futile to argue this...if you can't comprehend the fact that everyone here is equal and are human beings, then I suggest you do a little research into human history and see where Elitism has put us.

If I don't like something Achronos says, I will tell him. He is just a man behind an online identity, nothing more/nothing less. Although I agree with him because everything he says is true and makes perfect, legible, commone sense. But if I was to disagree with him or anyone, I would do it in a mature, respectible, and responsible manner. I wouldn't be like "Z0mg! uR st00p1d!!1!" That is ignorant. I would state a legitimate reason and my personal opinion into the matter.

The moderators aren't above you...yet they and the staff hold all the keys. Most of the time it's because they earned it. As long as you say that their post sucks and give a valid reason, that's fine and dandy. It's an opinion. And your post isn't your house. It belongs to Bungie to do with as they wish.

Welcome to Bungie.net. You have no rites. Play nice.

ANd you get a cookie for that....And the fact that you like the way the forum is run and think Arch is such a great guy is fantastic...it has nothing to do with what Im saying..I like the way the super in my building keeps the place...throws out the trash...sprays for bugs..waxes the floors..but if my super came into my house and told me the pictures on the wall looked like ass id report him to management and have his ass fired..because its not his place...

You make no sense...All we have been trying to convey to you is the point that we are equal here. We all have a right to post within the rules...no matter who you are.

- I am really starting to wonder if this has turned into a form of Online discrimenation.

Yeah, but this isn't your place...

I'm not sure what point you are trying to reach here. What should we do then, according to you?

Apparently, (sorry, just giving my opinion) he wants you to sit back and lock posts. Heck, I think he doesn't even want you to have the ability to create a thread or post at all!

And what Im trying to convey to you is that you cant be equal if one persons job is to Moderate the content that someone is putting in and respond accordingly and another group just enters content.

We only enforce the rules if we have to enforce the rules, it's simple as that. You're making a fuzz about nothing.

And what Im trying to convey to you is that you cant be equal if one persons job is to Moderate the content that someone is putting in and respond accordingly and another group just enters content...thats the obviously unequal...and if youre best defense is to say "A mod would never use the ability to ban indiscriminately because they are hand picked" than you know what...dont defend it..just say "We say so"...Self policing is not policing at all..

And what you don't seem to understand that Moderators are NOT SUPPOSED TO BE EQUAL. That is why there are a wide variety of them...they interpret the rules how they see fit in a particular situation. Is it so upsetting that, yes, they can be biased? If so I suggest that you prepare for a reality check. A job of a Moderator is to Moderate. A Job of a Forum Member is to adhere to the rules and post constructively. A Moderator is both are they not? They have been members of this site before they were Moderators...and they are still Members as Moderators.

We are not in England during the 12th Century, there is not Social Classes here. We are all the one in the same.

Whats not my place? LOL....To me if youre given the choice to become a mod it should be done with the knowledge that you cannot post on the forum unless its for the sole purpose of moderating the content or correcting confusion about what and where to post...Period...tough job...thankless...but you choose it..

You're obviously not a very active member in the Bungie.net community. Everyone who comes here often knows how Bungie works and that the moderators are some of the best members, with the best posts, values, and ideas.
