Okay, it might be that i have no life and play halo all day. But it isnt exactly that. No one is really like that. Newbies to Halo and other people that just suck find every person who is amazingly good a nerd or geek that has a terrible social life. Actually, i can get about 150 kills in a game with out dying too much. This makes me a nerd. But wait... I am popular at our school? I have a lot of friends and people say i am the best football player in the league. I dont think it is right to assume that someone who is amazingly good is a nerd. Video games are NOT for nerds. I feel stupid when people see me and say im good cuz they think im just some geek. i duno what my point to this is but i just hope it changes all of your minds about what u think

Twelve Large ²

An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep.

I think you're a really cool nerd. Keep up the good work. : )

video games are apart of our culture now! anyone who thinks otherwise is the social outcast, probably belonging with the rest of the airhead trash.

The only people who say gamers are nerds are those who look at you getting sweaty after smackin down elites on Legendary. I pity them, cuz they don't and probably never will feel the rush... :(

no one here thinks that. 99% of the people i know that play halo that are good at it are frat guys at my college. thats a high school thing that your dealing with. -blam!- them. they dont know gaming is an art, not a hobby. while there are a lot of geeks (look at the fanfest photos) i think a good portion of players are in fact very socially adept. halo is an agressive guy game more than a geek game

relax dude. they dont understand that gaming is a massive, complex, and widely accepted worldwide subculture including people from all ages. take my high school for example. a small town, consisting mainly of disgruntled old people who vote NO on the school budget, causing massive budget slashing so they dont have to pay higher taxes (GRRR) the student population consists of ape-like hierarchical jerks for guys, and dumb whores for girls (no exaggerations) and guess what? everyone plays halo. not only that gaming has risen from a mystifying occult of geeks to an accepted thing in the eyes of my more steriotype-abiding peers. not only that, but the entire student population is either on the football team or varsity cheerleading so this is an amazing change.
in short, just give it time bro! one day everybody will be a gamer and you will be their king as you were the forerunner of a new school society. due to your newfound authority, you will be allowed to throw things at those discriminating troglodytes who once mocked your now revolutionary concept of bieng cool AND a gamer! haha! honor and victory will be yours!
then weeks later they will take up halo and come up to you and try to retake their throne of condesending glory by beating you at your own game (pardon the pun). little do they know that they just suck at life and you will beat them every time, where you will then officially rise above them and they can go off into loserdom pretending that they even qualify as real halo players.

Yesterday, I was on my way to the enemy base, bloodgulth, ctf, xbconnect, running across the level, and I looked to my left and tripped out, there he was, my partner running along side of me...in this 3-D enviornment with a goal, take the enemy flag and return to base.

I don't know why I tripped on that, maybe because I just took a bong load, but to think someone can call me a nerd for playing videogames, the same term expressed in the 80's when I was bopping koopa heads to kill them.

I am happy to say, videogames have evolved into something grand. There have been friday nights where I just stay home and play Halo on xbconnect, because well, I just plain love it. I love getting invis and sniping someone, or stalking my enemy and cutting him off so I can get a great melee to back of head...

I go to the gym, I fix up my truck, I talk to girls, I do all those things that a "nerd" doesnt normally do, but God do I love Halo...Last night I was soooooo close to turning this girl down just so I could ally with this other awesome player last night, well, I actually put down the controller, but if I didn't I would not have a care in the world that I could have hung out with a girl and instead played Halo.

Its your life, do what you enjoy most. Keep everything in moderation, and your concious will be free. ( Thats doesn't mean you shouldn't play Halo for 6-7 hours straight!)
