That one's my fault; I wasn't clear enough about what I meant when I said widest possible audience. I was referring to the widest possible audience of people who visit this particular site; if that happens to be males teenaged - 30ish, then that would be the widest possible audience. Thanks for pointing that out though because it needed clarification.

Even so, I don't think this site requires much net-experience to operate; maybe my perspective is jaded slightly, but it seems pretty intuitive to me. I'm personally aware of many types of people who visit this site regularly (young kids, mothers, grandparents, etc.) without any hassles. It could probably be slightly easier, but it could be worse :)

As far as I'm concered the Bungie forums are perfectly fine, the moderaters are doing a great job cleaning up the filth "spam fest members" leave behind.

Although it would be nice if bungie got bots to delete or relocate threads that are create in the wrong forums.

Could someone tell me what "The Septagon" forum is for?

I'd quite like an online offline status

While this is more of a website change rather than a forum change, I would like to see an outbox/sent-box in our private messages. I often send messages to people and forget what I told them, or I send a message I would like to later add on to/edit.

Perhaps Bungie could also enforce a spelling rule. I don't mean they should ban someone for making a typo (nobody is perfect), nor should they go too heavily enforcing such a rule, butt it jst gts anying wen ppl tlk lik dis.

Actually, I might like that. I've run into the same problems of not remembering what you said. Also, it would be helpful to be able to review your message later, to know if you left something out.

As far as spelling goes, I just use a rule-of-thumb. If the post wasn't worth being typed out ledgibly, then it isn't worth my time in reading it.

That was a good post, Wuyie.

On a side note, if I made add to the "wishlist," I would like to see a stronger Disembodied Soul. There's a particular member who has made probably about 30 accounts now (no joke) and every time he just comes back to spam.

If the Soul could be taken seriously, there wouldn't need to be concern over those who can get around the Blacklist so easily. Sadly, there isn't at this point.

Good point ICEMAN and Wuyie (30 accounts!)

I would like to see a feedback section so Bungie can be told directly. I'd like to be able to know what Mods are on or maybe a collective post for mods (probably has flaws). Just my thoughts.

P.S. I have been filming for the past week, thats why I haven't been on.

Well... That put me in my place. Also there's a hell of alot of good points (none agreeing with me) in that post, well I for one am glad that some one like you is here to just in general make things better. I also agree with the mods not being "the opinion"of all opinions. I do feel that Bungie.net can be made better as in less spammers (no matter how hard anyone will ever try there will always be spammers). Good reply to my unthought post (thanks wuyie).

Good to speak to you.

...the site is open to the public, so you have to deal with...get this...the public...if you go to the park you cant complain that the family next to you is too loud or too syrupy cute...either move or dont go there again..and if you volunteer to help keep the park clean...you cant say that it would be cleanier if only certain pple came or no one at all..it is what it is...

Half right, half wrong. No, you can't complain about the type of people that come to a public place, so long as the people you're complaining about are following the legalities and established rules of enjoying that place / activity / whatever. For example: no, you can't kick me out of your park for being cute. You CAN kick me out of your park for putting graffiti all over everything and urinating on your lovely picnic. And you should! The community doesn't want to deal with that, and it's against the rules. Bungie and the moderators have every right to enforce the rules on idiots; the rules here are simple, well-defined and publicly accessible. If you break them severely enough to get blacklisted, you probably deserved it.

...before someone tells me that the forums do not influence Bungie in anyway let me just stop you there and say thats hogwash...(awesome...I got to use "hogwash" in a sentence...that made my week)...a forum is a place to exchange and discuss ideas...and what is feedback?...an opinion or idea about something...hence if a majority of the community is talking about a particular subject..or as some would so derisively state..."complain" about a given topic, than eventually it will reach the ears of those who can do something about it

Maybe, but not in the way you're thinking. If you're referring to the forum or site and making changes to it that way, then yes, it is possible that your ideas will be acknowledged, discussed and possibly implemented. But if you're referring to Bungie's games, that's another matter entirely. Ideas for future products of any sort will likely not get you any response from Bungie whatsoever because to acknowledge that they viewed or in any way received your ideas is often grounds enough for a lawsuit. Say you really really really think it's a good idea to have a rocket launcher in Halo 3 that fires 2 rockets at a time and you post that on the forum; some Bungie employee sees it and writes back, "Yeah, that is a good idea." Then you see that idea in Halo 3. That's intellectual property and you'd have at least some basis to say it was your idea first, and not independently conceived by them. So don't be surprised if those ideas get you nowhere.

This next part slipped by me until tonight, but it's worth looking at.

From the post above:
if you go to the park you cant complain that the family next to you is too loud or too syrupy cute...either move or dont go there again

This quote below is from you in the previous page's posts.

And here we go with the All AMerican response to any questioning of a systems efficency...If you dont like dont come here...nice...apparently it s a problem for some pple to navigate the site...how do i know?...Why...because there is a need for stickies to clarify things...save me the energy and slap yourself until tiny vlack dots appear...

So, when someone has told you "if you don't like it, you should leave" it's an insult, but when you see things as acceptable and others don't, they should get out because it's fine by you? Let's get these routines straight before we really argue the finer points.

How about having Bungie personnel respond to the feedback thread or delete it? If no one is responding to it, how much does it help to have a feedback thread?

Wow, I touched a nerve there, didn't I?

Wuyie, I'm not going to read your posts anymore. You're insulting my reading comprehension and calling me absurd when I've only directly quoted your own words for everyone to see. The mods have already locked most of your threads for your inane preaching and forum spamming, you're contradicting yourself almost constantly, and now you're flat out insulting people because you can't organize your own thoughts in public and your bad ideas are getting shot down in plain English. It's obvious that you're the one who doesn't understand, and from your last post I can tell you probably never will. And considering the PMs I've gotten from other members who read this thread, I'm not alone in my thoughts on the matter. Reducing yourself to insults and name-calling isn't helping your case. Some of the others on here may roll over and bend to the will of your lengthy, paragraph-deprived tirades, but I have no problem addressing them point by point.

I've exaggerated nothing. If you feel I've blown your points out of proportion, you should've made them clearer in the first place. You speak in these vague, higher-than-thou metaphors that I've essentially tolerated and that barely relate to what your point is (which by now is long gone anyway.) And I took not one thing out of context; in fact I quoted information before and after the sentences I noted as contradictory in their entirety, without edits or corrections because I figured you'd say that as a weak response.

As for dealing with the public, unfortunately you're right. So far we've had to deal with you. But like you said, I have no obligation to read what you write. And now I most assuredly won't.

...pple on here take themselves too damn serious...this site is about a videogame for God's sake...repeat that to yourself...

You're telling me.

Not to detract from Wuyie's novel he's writing there (LoL) but there needs to be a way to keep those who are blacklisted ........actually blacklisted.

By now you Ninjas should be aware of a certain user from the "Bronx."

He has made literally about 30 accounts by now, and won't stop. I don't know what the motives are, but it's annoying to see someone making account after account and the whole blacklist process seems almost useless.

Improve the Soul is pretty much what I'm recommending. If it's possible.

Speaking of reading comprehesion, Wuyie, you realize that we all have to do our best to decipher the meaning your posts. Your spelling, grammar, and puncuation really makes it a task to read your posts, on top of them not really making very great or well thought out points in the first place.

If English is your first language, I seriously suggest you practice what you preach.

You may try to come across sounding intelligent with your large or perspicacious words, but it does not behoove you in the slightest. As Minister has said, you've not been a very nice person when going about your posting, intentionally causing arguments with everyone you come across. A large portion of us are all sick of it, and "staying out of it" or "leaving you alone" just doesn't seem to be working.

Yes, you did contradict what you said earlier about "If you don't like it, then don't go there." Telling us we misread your posts is your way of avoiding the fact that you've made a mistake.

As a whole, we would appreciate it if you would not make posts that attack other people, as well starting up posts in order to start arguments. I perfectly understand rules against responding to trolls, and I know I've just jumped into the sinking boat with you as I post this, but you, are a troll.

I don't think Bungie will do anything about it. It is too easy for people to avoid bans. IP bans also won't stop people.

I don't consider Wuyie a troll. My friendship with him aside- he's just a "unique" member.

It could be that I've known him for a while, back in my Halo 3 Forum days, but he's no troll. Wuyie speaks his mind. Which is something that I admire him for, but can never do. There have been many a time where I am about to post something harsh, but I hit the "backspace" button and intentionally make it "kind." It's just the way I am.

Let me tell you guys about Wuyie: I met him in Halo 3 Forum one day, and the first post he made had me in tears. It was funny- but respectful. Along the way, he'd continue to make jokes, and people would laugh and whatnot. And frequently, he would contribute some well thought out posts.

Now one day a particular member decided to make a thread about him. I don't know what the circumstances were, but it was a harsh attack at Wuyie. He tried to keep a level head, but naturally got upset. So he and about 75% of the people in the thread were banned.

I see him more active these days. I don't visit Halo 3 Forum as much as I used to, but by chance I stumbled along a debate a few days ago about how the game is "dummied down." All I remember was Wuyie speaking his thoughts (they were very opinion-oriented) and a lot of flames between him and some members (and a moderator as well as Achronos.) That day showed me a lot- The Forums are a place where you either speak your mind, or don't.

Wuyie speaks whatever comes to his brain. I guess you can say he doesn't "Think before he posts," technically. But I don't consider him a troll. There are plenty of trolls that I've seen on this Forum, and I don't think Wuyie is one. Granted, this is my opinion, and nothing more.
