I'm here to tell you about my upcomming Halo ce map, Sandstorm. My short description of the map is this:
Two bases opposing each other, tower at middle. A human Pelican crashed on one side, a temple at the other. All this within a canyon with a shear cliff behind Pelican. Thrusting out of the cliff part way down is a bridge of sorts with covenant supply crates scattered all over the bridge. There is also a large underground cavern located between the two bases.

The site for my map is http://members.fortunecity.com/boodidly. There is a longer description and many pics of the map. Currently I'm looking for people to help beta test my map. If you want to test it *or have questions* you can respond to this thread, pm me, or go to the contacts page in my site and contact me there.

Alright, I went to your site and looked at the pictures, and IMO this map has some potential in it, but it also needs quite a bit of work, like the textures for example and it seems really big, too. Big maps will attract fanboys, but theyre not exactly the best maps. For better map crit, Id suggest going to the gearbox forums and talking to the people there, theyre a lot more experienced with map making and know a lot about it too.

just to tell you, it isnt actually that big. I've been working on the map for a year and a half, so i do know quite a few things. It seems big because of the scale of the structures *my fault, but it makes the map the way it is*.

promising, but it needs more work. right now its very plain. i wouldn't want to get stuck out in the open of that field, the nearest cover seems far away.

Looks like a deserted version of Blood Gulch. Looks pretty good so far, nice job.

Anywas, as the guy above me have have said, it needs more detail. But so far, you're doing a good job, I'm liking the pictures I'm seeing. =D

well, thats what beta testing *and posting to get opinios* is all about. also i have to watch the poly count since I'm pushing the limit in certain areas, even though the map has portals to divide and clip.

It's kinda cool. I think I'll download it when it's available to the public.

Looks pretty good.

My suggestion: add some hills and rocks (kind of like in BloodGulch) to the middle to make it more complicated.
