Okay, I was working a little project, and I went to retrieve some links I had saved. But none of them worked. Instead of "this page cannot be displayed" I got redirected to bungie.net home. The threads still exist, but they have new URLs or something. What happened?Example: None of the links in this thread work.Is there anything I can do?
(10:19:49 PM) Scruss: oh and pezza, i saw what you did to that cat(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.
I don't think anything can be done, sadly, I think this occured since the Search Function was put into use.
"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."
Do the threads still exist now? I copied the links for some and put them into my address bar, and they took me right to B.net. Is it possible that maybe instead of the "this thread no longer exists" message, we are sent to Bungie.net? It seems a bit weird that it's occuring for all of the links in all circumstances.
No. Like, the birthday link does work, but if you Search "Douglas Birthday" it's right there. I hate this.
Perhaps the URLs were nullified and you just get directed to the home page. I do not know, these Bungie guys have strange ways.
Did the links work when you first posted them? Here's the link for your birthday thread that you have:http://bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=5196692&postRe peater1-p=1Here's what happens when I take out a certain part of it:http://bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=5196692 Here's the link provided by the search engine. Note the www:http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=5196692I think that's it. All links now (if they didn't always) require the "www." You would just need to put that into each link and they should work.[Edited on 9/9/2006]
Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive; But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.[group]167741|Diner|Where's the food?[/group]

I think I may have found it. Just try adding www. in front of bungie.net in the old links. I think it worked, unless I mixed something up. I'll go try a few more.Oops, double post. Sorry. It looks like that works, I tested it again.-.- Mabian totally beat me to it. I didn't see his edit. [Edited on 9/9/2006]
Okay, thanks. That was the most efficient and awesome help I have ever gotten here. Props.
