Ok well, I have no idea, but, I've been dreaming of making a large map on Halo PC, that is an underwater facility, which is critically damaged and flooded. I really wanna make this on Halo CE, but I'm afraid to get CE for the following reasons:

Viruses(Is this DL trustable?)
Complication(Is this waaaaaaayyyyyyyy to complicated?)
Memory(How much Memory will it take up on my Hard Drive?)

Can anyone please answer these questions for me. Thanks in advance.

no viruses from halomaps.org
not complicated
I have a very large and redundent CE folder and it takes up less than 2 gigs. Starting out, I think it uses just over a gigabyte of hard drive space.

I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

Yeah...halomaps.org is very reliable. I haven't gotten any viruses from them, so yay! However, make sure you are patient and able to learn...creating a map is no walk in the park.

Me personally have never created a map, but I get mine from halomaps.org also and its fine, I think that the only thing that you have to worry about is 1. Lag and 2. some maps tend to gather an exception and close down halo, but nothin to worry about too much, I say go for it!

I do read the Stickies. The Halo CE sticky did not really have any of my questions answered.

To install maps you must:
1) Unzip them if its a .zip file or use WinRAR to extract it if its a .rar file

2) extract the map to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\maps

3) Start Halo CE and create game on LAN just to make sure it's there.

btw make sure Halo CE isn't running when you do this, otherwise you'll have to restart it.

Yes, everyone here is correct HaloMaps.org is safe and halo ce is worth is i have lots of maps and they are fun. In most cases you cant just decide to make a map one morning and make it. You need to have experiance with 3d modeling tools and knowledge of how to use HEK, but if your real interested they have some real nice tutorials at http://halomods.com.

Man, you gotta be careful with the crappy url here.
