Um In Halo CE (gearboxs multiplayer halo thingy) they made a red thing go over the players head that has the flag.. IT SUX! IT SUX IT SIX.. ok having the flag stick out of the passenger wart hog was a give away too but at least not every blaming player in a 2 mile distence could see it.. it macks it WAY to eazy to get the flag back. and a game of ctf now can go one for 10 howers.. iwtch no one stays on long enough to know who won. but yhaif they do something to mack it visiable it sould be like how it is in the passenger seat not a symble or logo thing hoveing over your head that every one can see for miles.. its not cool.

Twelve Large ²

An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep.

Yes, let's all play 1 vs. 1 on Waterworks..

Why would you want to play 1v1 CTF except as a slayer game with no kill limit, in which case the flag is totally unimporatant? Seems kinda' pointless don't you think? I mean, even 2v2 CTF is kinda' lame. . . unless you're on the very smallest maps.

I say, if it helps bring people together and actually help one/another then it should stay... Nothing is worse in a team game then a player that refuses to help his teammates when they need it, and just go about doing whatever he wants...

In the new CTF, demoed at E3, the flag could never respawn for the defenders. This will mean that you can use multiple runs to return the flag. So instead of getting in a warthog and running for it, you can move it a little ways on foot each time you respawn.

You should be able to hold the flag out the side of the warthog and joust with it. Impale some elites running around on the ground or knock people off Ghosts.*

It is true that making it immposible to drive with a flag makes the game more team orriented, but what if your the only one on your team who can score. If you get stuck with those players that get passed around to inhibit you then someones got to score. They are left with the meanial task of all gaurding the base while you must single handedly keep your team alive.
As for the flag being visble if he just puts it on his lap it kinda' sticks ou so the people chasing hm can see it but there's not some huge annoying icon for everyone to see.
Sorry if I'm rammbling but keep em' comin'.

I see peoples points with not being able to drive with a flag, but getting the flag with a hoard of teammates, and haveing them all inconspicuasly slaughtered for you to find out by the barrel of someones gun with no escape just plain sucks. If the defenders don't want their enemy to have any getaway vehicles, just stash them somewhere it's hard to find.

i have a solution. when you try to enter a vehicle with the flag, you get a 30 second animation of the MC strapping the flag to the roof rack (or the back part of a ghost) while smoking a cig. it sounds do-able to me. i'll be expecting a call from bungie any day now.

SB-117

I like the idea of not being able to drive away, you'd have to arrange for a getaway driver which means you'll need a strategy to take the flag (as an added bonus it promotes teamwork and communication over brute strength) Good thinkning bungie

I am certain the "Drive with Flag" ability will be an option you can turn on or off in the edit gametype menu. Just like "Flag at home to score" was an option. Relax, Bungie isn't stupid.

Have Any of u idiots have thought of driving with one hand(which makes the mc even cooler) and pur the flag against you shoulder slanting up? but i think you shouldnt drive with the flag because it beaths the purpose of dying in the flames of glory. Dying for your team in an epic chase where you have the flag youre shot youre falling and give the flag a final toss closer torwards to your base. has anyone ever thought of dying like that fun? or better than dying normaly? but you should be able to only go in a passenger seat not a gunner seat of a vehicle

I think the MC should drive withone hand, and hold the flag in the other.

I think that they should keep it the way it is for the warthog, but as for the ghost and the ATV, they should have flag holders on the back, and if the flag holder was destroyed the flag would fall off. And yes teamwork is a good thing (warthog).

I think that the vehicles should be harder to drive when you have the flag with one hand on the flag and the other one one the weel.

Dyeing in a blast of flame and glory is always great Willshire, but wouldn't you admit dyeing in a blast of flame and glory in a speeding hog just inches from your base, sending pieces flying everywhere, is much better.

i think bungie should keep it the same. how many times have you snuck into the base while everybody else was busy and have been by yourself with a worthog. you wouldn't want to wait for a team member to come drive your hog. i think bungie did an awesome job with this in halo and they should keep it in halo 2.

If I can eat an entire meal from Taco Bell (Mexican pizza, burrito surpreme, nachos bellgrande) while driving in my car, I think MC can drive with one hand on the flag. Just my opinion...

i belie totally in bungies decision on how u shouldn't have the flag if u drive the vehicle. it makes the game more team like and so the good players can't just beat it by themself becuase of driving their own vehicle with the flag

It would be good to not let too good players win by themselves but if your the only good person on your team you don't have a choice. I think a good idea would be to only have the option on the turn-style CTF in the E3 Demo, and regular in the normal CTF.(If they still have that).

Personally, the thing I think makes Bungie's games the best is how they always strive for realism. You have to admit, it's pretty stupid how the flag magically disappears and reappears when you get in and out of the Warthog.

No sillies. Who needs hands to drive? Surely, if the MC can hold onto the scorpian with one hand while simultaneously firing an assault rifle, surely he can sit on the back of the WH's driver's sheet, holding on with his right hand on the roll bar, his left hand on the flag, and both feet on the wheel. And just in case you thought i was too stupid and forgot something, he'll take two seconds to find a good sized rock to put on the petal. just to make things even more interesting.

You shouldn't be able to drive the vehicle with the flag, remember that in Halo it was far too easy to steal it in blood gulch because you could come over with a ghost... now you will have to use a 2 person vehicle and hope the driver doesn't run you over in his haste. :-)

I did that once. To myself. Yah. That's right. I was both the flag bearer and the driver. I laughed. And then cried.

Which reminds me, if i could drive and gun a warthog at the same time (as in, controlling two controllers at once), surely the MC doesn't need a fancy cup holder. though it'd be nice. but only the red side could have the cup holders. b/c they get all the nice things. LIke a RL. and a nice Sniper spot. and a good hill to jump onto the blue base on in BG. Yah. I said it. the ultimate spawn killing technique.

and btw, i'm all for Bungie's no-flag-driving thingy (despite my rantings to the contrary). We don't want to give a bad message to all the 14 and 15 yo's learning to drive that its OK to drive with one (or no) hands. let's be realistic here.
