Typically a group follows some sort of category or theme anyway, so the need for different forums is close to pointless.

Atlot of clans form groups, and that is what I did. And it would be nice to have categories/sections.

For future reference this belongs in The Septagon only because you are talking about an update to the site sort of thing.

But to answer your question, why make a different catagory? Why not use different threads for different catagories? Like everyone else.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

Well, if you have general topics that members can discuss, I'm sure the main forum is just fine. If you want them to discuss a specific topic, you could put up a discussion in the form of a sticky. Most groups don't really need more than one forum. Those that do should probably look into making a website if they absolutely require it.

I was curious as to why we cannot make categories for the forums. Is this just something that cannot be added, or is it something bungie prefers not to allow?
I would really enjoy it if we could make categories (or sections) to our group forums.

Like I want a section specifically for politics, and I dont want like 20 debates in 1 topic. I just wish there was a way to make categories like Bungie's categories. It would just be a nice feature to have.

Why don't you just create a Sticky thread about politics? Then if anyone posts another thread about it make it delete them. And if you want catagories, like bungie, you are talking about making every group its own web site.

Useing the groups is a nice feature for small clans or for things that arent clan related, if you are running a larg clan I would use invisionfree or buy a domain and get IBP/PHBB/VB.
But I think bungie groups are generally a good idea, especially seeing there are alot of would be members here.
