...Achronos, tell your colleagues to get there backsides on-line, we want to meet them, in some way or another. Tell them to get some Bungie.net accounts!

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I would also like to hear more from the employees. Its up to us to make it interesting enough here for them to even bother looking at this forum. Bringing Sketch back from HBO would be a start. Though, I don't think he will ever come back. Marty only seems to be active in his chapter, but that means he's still here.
Oh, and don't demand things from Achronos, it will end badly for all those who try.

Well at least the Forum Ninjas. Like Achronos said, the Bungie guys do have a game to make.

I don't think the mods really can be a whole lot more active in other threads because then they would most likely be contributing to the spam already in a thread such as in The Flood. That's why I believe that they post here more often, a much more mature, intelligent conversation.

Like Achronos said they are busy making a game. Sketch for instance hasn't been on for like a month. There use to be two other employees on the site Butcher2, and Bentllama, but there accounts were deleted due to inactivity (sucks). There are actually quite a few bungie employees that go on this site but most are either not on much at all or are unknown. But, while making Halo 3 you can't worry about a bungie profile.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

They have a game, but they also have a forum with about two million users. The game needs it's fans and the fans need the game. I don't think either should be neglected for the other. Even if it's only one bungie guy posting once or twice a day, it would make everyone feel like we aren't being ignored. It barely even needs to be meaningful. Even something as trivial as making a joke. It would make a whole lot of difference, and I can't see it too much effort. The hardest part I can see is that you have to give the guys who are going to post gold text and a custom avatar. But I haven't the foggiest idea as to how hard (or easy) that would be, so please ignore me if I'm being too ignorant.

We all would like more Bungie staff on the forums, but this is their job and some of them would probably rather think about something other than Halo when they are not working. I am glad for the interaction we do get.

I already raid through their underwear drawers. So, I know enough about them. They don't need to be active more often.

Many of the employees troll the forums, they just don't have "employee" accounts....Or so it is said.

My guess is that drawer was Yoozel's...

Yah. That was Yoozie's. Runningturtle's underwear was HAWT!

You might want to re-word the title of the thread. Make it sound more presuasive and less selfish and demanding. And instead of guys on the forums, they ought to reinstate fanfests or something. One can only know so much about someone through text.

Location: Outlaws' Summit.

Let's see if I can get this right this time :-)

Bungie Employees
*Achronos
*Sketchfactor
*Frankie
*Sawnose
*Weresnail
*Runningturtle

Bungie On-Line Team
*Ninja 0n Fire
*Mehve
*AgdTinman

Bungie Team
*Evil Otto

Guys on Contract (but not necessarily actual employees)
*Shishka
*Stosh

Yeah, it's a pretty healthy list of Bungie.net guys that have some ties to Bungie Studios. But other than N0F and Achronos, none of them post. I guess it's because they don't have the time? Who knows.

But I wouldn't mind seeing Jason Jones around here. He would be......interesting, to say the least :-)

I'm sure you wouldn't disagree there are people on this forum that play your (former) game(s) more hours per day than you and your colleagues spend making the new one. And, yet they still find time to post.

I was one of them not too long ago. Recently my priorities changed but that's neither here nor there....

My point is, it doesn't take that long to post a thought every now and then. Personally I don't care. Your (the collective Bungie "your") job is to make games, not post on forums. Still, seeing gold text in one of the other forums (not including the news) by another employee every now and then would be a nice touch.

It's all about the little things. Can't overlook the little things............

It be nice to see more Bungie folks online, but of course, I'm spoiled because of the Bioware forums, where quite regularly a BW employee posts. Or maybe that's just because they have a bit larger online/quality insurance team

Another problem is the way Achronos and the mods get treated- undue sucking-up and a lot of flaming and ranting. Why would a Bungie employee want to say "I am an employee" when it means getting insulted and having your ass kissed?

I have to think a few of them have accounts that aren't listed as employee, so for all you know, one of your best friends is a Bungie employee.

question everyone but yourself, and trust no one

I don't think so. In fact, if I was a betting man, I'd wager that the Bungie crew (whose livelihood depends on making games) spend far more time every day making Halo 3 than any of us do playing Bungie games.

I know they work grueling hours and posting on these forums can sometimes be an unrewarding experience but it'd still be cool. Sure there are the people that would flame them just for being bungie employees, but who cares? Ignore them. I'm sure they all have pretty thick skin by now anyway. And as for the ass-kissers, well, aren't there worse things in life then getting your ass kissed?

Really my point is Bungie does such a great job interacting with the community - weekly updates, community spotlights, numerous news articles, etc... - but when it comes to actual interaction on the forums they seem to shy away. Kind of funny actually.

It doesn't have to be in the H3 forum or anything. That would obviously make no sense. But they could always say something stupid in the Flood every now and then.

My $.02.

That is a good idea. There would be advantages to an employee using an account like that. It would also reduce the number of pms they would receive.
