we don't even know what Shishka does anymore. He is a misc bungie employee. lol J/K. anyways i would rather have a perfect game then have them post in the forums. and at least we can tell when they have posted in the forums. And how long are your guys contracts.....I mean it seems like everyday someone is leaving bungie and someone else joins.

A contract is a maximum of nine months, and is followed by a mandatory 100 day break before a new contract can begin.

Some companies are excellent for this, CCP, the makers of EVE online, seem to have half their staff just reading the forums for about half the day, but then they make an MMORPG, so community interaction in real-time at all levels is essential. Bungie make FPSs (and occasionally RTSs), so its nowhere near as essential, and i think the level of company-community interaction is excellent as it is. Would like to see more posts from the "community" guys, however.

Plus if they actually did interact with us and listened the games would start to suck. Has anyone seen the H3 forum or even Zanzibar/New Mombosa before the announcement? If Bungie listened to us they would have dropped the Masterchief as the main character and let us all play as a grunt. Grunts with the ability to dual wield rocket launchers and hold a Jackal shield at the same time that is.

Correct. I release near-fatal amounts of awesome into the atmosphere at a pace once described as "blinding."

That will give you time to make some more content for Shishka.net during that 100 day break. I will check it soon then.

I haven't moderated in a while. I suppose I'll start it up again eventually. Lot's of stuff at work I need to finish though! I can't wait until they invent some anti-sleep pill.

Ahem.

Hey there Mr. Seattle. I think that they call it coffee, and rumor has it that it is freaking everywhere there!

I wonder if they have the coffee that's digested by an animal, then the coffee beans are washed and brewed. It's supposed to the sooooo much better than the regular stuff at the Bungie office.

For the record, i'd piss my self silly if there was an Armatik action figure.

Shiska, do all Bungie employees have this sort of contracting system? Or is it just the online team? Do you know about programmers especially?

Contract positions, as with full time positions, are listed on the jobs page when available.

I think you misunderstood (if not, then sorry). I meant, do all Bungie employees have 9 month contracts, or just online team members and contractors?

Only contract workers have contracts. The rest work there and will work there till they die, escape, or get fired.
