Hey guys,

Since the Xbox360 and Windows Vista have the same directX (which makes the Live Anywhere service possible), does that mean that the ATi card in the 360 is the first DirectX10 card that we can use?

no the 360 uses DX9, it just emulates some DX10 effects.

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure it uses DX10 I'll try and find the link to the article.

Right. Just because you have DX9 drivers installed, for example, doesn't mean that you have a DX9 card. You could have a crappy integrated chipset installed but have DX9 drivers.

Xbox360 really isn't DX10. Its kinda like DX9.5. It has some directX10 features but not all of them.

I believe the first DX10 cars is my Nvidia 8950 GTXTX GX2+ CROSSFIRE ULTRA

I have it in SLI and can record in halo using 2048 x 1536 at 16 billion frames per second with all settings on highest.

The few, the proud, the leet.

Crysis is not being shown in DX9 form. It is using the most stable-and-recent DX10 builds on the most stable-and-recent DX10 video cards. That studio is working very closely with Microsoft on Crysis to ensure that the engineering process of the game is as smooth and efficient as possible.

Also, the 360 is not using either DX9 or DX10. It has its own specialized instruction sets designed to bring the most out of the 360 possible.

Hmmm... filesize for 1 minute video?
-EDIT- Whuped out my calc.exe, according to it, thats over 50 quadrillion, 331 trillion, 648 million pixels a second. My ATI Radeon 9550 does 1 million a second. According to the press release. XP

My card somes equipped with a super file compressor and it can make a 2000 year video only 12kb.

If it makes a video normal fraps quality, it would be approximately 20000000000000 times better graphics than reality itself.

Nessy, first you're a skills-showoff, now you're a graphics-showoff. What's next? Oh I know, I bet it's shampoo skills.

Still a little confused. Wat did Bungie say Halo 2 Vista will use wat Direct X? Sorry but i am kinda out-of date. Dont really have much time to surf the net. Using a slow dial-up connection, takes a veery long time to load a page.

Oh,can cards like the geforce 6800 gs support dx 10 when it comes out? or do i have to get a new graphics card?

It won't be able to support all DX10 features but it will utilize the drivers, I think. Anyway, I think H2 Vista will still look decent on DX9 cards.

Won't halo 2 have drivers for DX10, just like halo pc? So if you get a DX9 card, you can install the game and get DX 10?
