So I got Halo for PC, you know the drill, install, play campaign, move on to MultiPlayer online. So I try to log on to a server, and I can play for a whopping 5-10 seconds. Then the little box pops up in the bottom right of my screen, and I can't move. I understand this happens every so often for most people, but this happens every time I try and join a game. The screen the flicks to the main page with a little box saying, "The game has closed down."

This happens every time I join a game. Maybe it's my internet connection, but I doubt it.

Specs: I've got DSL HighSpeed Roadrunner internet, directly plugged into the cable/ethernet jack, with WiFi internet going out for my laptop.

I am using XP on a desktop computer. Don't know how this would be applicable, but hell...

My comp is about 2 years old, so one would think Halo would work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

That's quite odd. Something must be wrong with your connection, as when the box in the bottom right corner with the X that means you're losing your connection.

How is it with other games? They ever drop or lag out?

Im assuming you know to connect to server with a decent ping to you.

I can play america's army without any difficulty.

And yes I don't connect to servers with like 300 ping or something.

Odd, it happens to all of us sometimes, but it shouldn't keep happening. Especially if you can access the internet and play other games fine. Just make sure the games you join have low pings. (<100 is good) Other than that I don't know.
