Just wondering, but can you connect two Xboxes together with just an ethernet cable and no router? I tried using an Ethernet cable to connect two Xboxes but it didn't work with Halo system link play!? Once i used the router, it worked, but can you connect two Xbox consoles without using a router? Please help ;)

Also, whats the cheapest way to connect your Xbox live to your router without cables? Microsoft has an adapter for a wireless G newtwork, but it costs $80 and i cant afford that :(. Could i somehow use a wireless USB adaptor somehow to connect my Xbox live to my wireless network? I might have a wireless adaptor that connects to my computers ethernet port, could i use that?

Thanks for reading and I hope that someone can help me :)

YES you can connect 2 xboxs together w/o a hub, all you need is a Switch cable, not a patch cable( which in your normal ethernet cable). All you gotta do is go to a comp store and ask for one. Don't buy the MS one, its 15 bucks for like 15 feet, you cna get a 50 foot( so you can play in other rooms) for like 20 bucks at comp usa.

not sure on the second part, i this the MS wireless adapter for the box is the only one out.

Yeah what you need is a "cross-over" cable. There arent a whole lot of "inexpensive" wireless products for the xbox. 50 foot crossover cable should be good enough ;)
