Use your cursor to highlight someone's name. Do you see something called "member ID" at the end of the script?

I just now noticed that that's actually the number of accounts made up until yours.

Like if you highlight Achronos, you'll see his member ID as 1.

Whereas mine is 1,705,002.

Nifty.

As you were. Just thought I'd throw that out there for those who didn't know (apologies if this was already discovered and discussed, but I did use the Search Feature, just to sure!)

Well said =)

  • 09.20.2006 6:14 PM PDT

Yeah. It's fun to look up random numbers and see who comes up, when you're really bored.

  • 09.20.2006 6:15 PM PDT

Go Chiefs

Same is true with posts.

/who is number 7; 77; 777; 7,777; 77,777; etc.....

Oddly enough...there are no members that are number 7, 77, 777, 7,777, 77,777, and so on. Go ahead, try it. Their accounts have all been deleted.

Otto is the oldest member next to Achronos, at number 3.

I wonder who was number 2? It's apparently a deleted account. Haveblue, perhaps?

*edit* (To Mabian) I tried it, and yeah, you're right. The accounts have been deleted. 'Tis a real shame.

Nah, haveblue is number five, and he is the oldest non-Bungie member on these forums.

I think Yeroen was number 2, but his account was deleted a while back, I think.

Ah, but there are two types of ids. The important one is the "uid" which is the bungie.net user id. The secondary id is the one you'll see in the forums, called the "memberID".

They don't match up - it is a consequence of the forums being stored in a different database and codebase from the rest of bungie.net.

What's the significance of this "UID"?

Do you have special access to it, or something?

So.. Does that mean our join-order is different than our "memberID"?

Basically, would I be the 33920th member to join, or is it different?

Wow. Over 10 people joined in five minutes (The first active account that joined after me joined 5 minutes after and is quite a few away).

I never realized how many people have been here until now.
