So do these extra options (reflections, effects detail) only come on video cards. I never got this on my integrated. I figured it must be a video card option only, anyone else get all these options?

I don't know that much about graphics cards and such but everyone here always seem to say that intergrated sucks and if you got a better card I can only assume that with better graphics come better graphics options.

I don't think I get reflections but my card is like four years old.(I have a Nvidia GeForce Ti 4200) However, my card, although old, seems to never have any problems displaying decent pictures as you can see in my montages.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

you should get these options with any true dx9 card.

I think the picture is a fake, even if you have a true dx9 card (what do you mean by true), you should be able to atleast see the options. For example, people with integrated cards, can still see specular and decal options, they just can't change them; the same is true with people without sound cards.

Any true DX9 card? I suppose for Nvidia that ranges in the 7 series?

Thats wierd, ive never seen anything like that. I thought it might be some thing to do with H2V, but it has the halo 1 sniper rifle.

  • 09.21.2006 1:25 PM PDT

In high definition baby!

I've seen those option, but never have a video card.

I'm guessing this is faked. If you compare vincent5's screencap here with this Official Bungie Screenshot, something doesn't quite add up: the healthbar on vincent5's is outta whack.

By the way, vincent 5, where did you come by this screen cap?

Gimme those extra options! I want my extra options!
Seriously, it's not like my super-duper-hyper-ultra powerful Radeon 9550 can't handle them.

thats very odd... the healthbar is messed up a bit. either thats an early build or he's faking it *or its a diffrent version*

Hm...I don't have those settings, and I have a 7900 GS Go. I wonder if you can only have those with a 512MB Graphics Card. Or, it could be for a Mac or whatever. Most likely though, the pic is fake. No one else has seen these settings in their options.

  • 09.21.2006 4:21 PM PDT

Guys, its obviously fake or a different version of the game. Why do you guys want these extra settings? If you have a decent video card then youre already playing with those settings at the highest. Btw, I have a 7600GT and I dont have those settings because theyre not meant to be there.

About what static said. Lol.

Even the earlier build pics look different than his: vincent 5's.

It's not from a Mac. I play Halo on a Mac, and my healthbar looks the same as the regular PC one.

That IS interesting, maybe it's faked, maybe not, where did you get that picture?

  • 09.21.2006 4:55 PM PDT

Or, it could be halo trial maybe?

Halo Mac Demo.

It's not the Halo Mac Demo, in that the healthbar looks normal.

If someone can get me a screencap of the PC Halo Demo, for comparison's sake, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah! Look at the skin on the M6D. (Prolly a placeholder.) *gagz*

I just got this pic on Google Image Search and thought it was odd. There's a lot of pictures out there toting the Xbox style health bar. It's really weird. I heard the Effects Detail is valid, but it could be a mod.

The few, the proud, the leet.

It's faked. I've crawled around in the widget definitions long enough to know that those simply aren't there.

edit: I dont mean the options per say, but the event handlers that would take those options and apply them to the actual game/engine/output.
