Ok, so ever since I've moved to this new house, I've been having problems. First off, NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE is able to join my Halo server. Secondly, NO ONE is able to join my TeamSpeak Server. Don't give me any obvious answers like "l0l, forward ur p0rts, man", or "m@ke sure firewall isn't bl0cking it, l0l", because 1) I visited the portforward.com forums, and the admin of the forums told me that my ISP (Time Warner Cable) doesn't have a router, so there's no use to forward my ports when there is no router to be blocking it. And 2) my firewall has over 6-7 ports that has ANY relationship to Halo's ports and TS's ports, all allowed access.

And to top it all off with strawberry cream, I can't even join my own TS server now. WTF is going on???

I have Time Warner. They don't give you a router, but that doesn't mean that you aren't using one. Are more than one computer on the internet? If yes, you have a router. Just to make sure, try these router IP addresses in your address bar. If anything pops up, you need to foward your ports.

Linksys routers, for example, use 192.168.1.1 for their internal IP address. D-Link and Netgear routers typically use 192.168.0.1. Some US Robotics routers use 192.168.123.254, and some SMC routers use 192.168.2.1.

Well you rant at us not to be stupid, and then ask us for help?

What I would do is(if possible) experiment. Try lanning if possible to see if that works. Can you join? You never mentioned that. I think it's probably a problem with dynamic IP, though that doesn't make sense if you don't have a router. Are you on wireless? Network? We need more details.

Thank you, I appreciate your help.

But...

No, this is the only computer and internet connection we have at the house. My familiy doesn't even own a laptop.

And no, I don't use those router IP's. =/

And Pet0sh, I also appreciate your help, but when did I ever say you were stupid, or not to be stupid? If you meant my discovery thread, I only said to not to over exaggerate. Geez...

call time warner and make sure you're not locally routed.

I can't do that.

Why?

I'm still under my parents controls, and they don't allow me to call 1-800/1-900 numbers, even though it is toll free.

Sorry man, misunderstanding.

Anyway, do you by any chance have nforce/nvidia software on your computer?

Sorry if this is counted as a bump, but I didn't want to destroy forum space by creating a similar thread when there is one I have created already in the beginning of the second page.

And to Pet0sh, it's ok, everyone misunderstands sometimes, even me. And no, I do not have any nvidia software on my computer.

Seriously, what's going on? I allowed my firewall to access all TS and Halo ports (2302, 2303, 8767, 80, etc.) but now I can't even join my own TS server (I can still join my own Halo server, but people cannot join it). Omg...

This may seem a bit extreme, but you could try wiping the HD, reinstalling Windows, Halo, and the drivers for your hardware. That may work. Maybe.

o.O

*shudders at the very thought*

I'm scared...hold me...

I don't know if I want to try that, thanks anyways...

EDIT: I can finally join my TS server! Does anyone here wants to test it out by going in it multiple times to see if people can join it?

I'm confused.

In your first post, you said you had no firewall, thus ports were non-issue.

A few posts up, you have forwarded ports?

try completely turning off your firewall...That'll at least let us know if the ports are the problem.

No, what I mean is that I HAVE a firewall, and it's on, but I allowed my firewall to to allow acces to all ports relating to Halo, and TS. I have no routers, so I can't "forward" ports, I can only allow them to be accessed through firewall.

Nah, before I leave my firewall unlocked, I want to test try it, since now I can join my own TS server, I want to see if other people can as well. Many of my xfire friends were busy, and my clan members never went on. So I need some volunteers. Any rise of hands will be greatly appreciated.
