Halo 1 & 2 for PC

Subject: Less damage in demo?

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

You don't do any damage! Two point blank shotgun shots won't kill someone! Two rockets/fuel rod shots won't! WTF! Do they want people to not buy it?!
Please tell me I'm not just being stupid, because this is really ticking me off. I can't wait for the Bungie designed Halo 2 online stuff...that will be so much better.

Huh????
They do lots of damage.. I use them all the time in the demo.
Are you using a modded one? What's the situation (what are you playing, are you doing SP or MP, when, where, etc...).

The rocket will kill you in one hit, the shotgun will kill you in one blast at point blank, the first hit of the fuel rod takes out all the shields and a couple health. Works like this for me both in the demo and the full version.
If you're playing online, you might be experiencing some lag problems (not so bad that things are jerky) but up to the point where your computer registers the hit, but the server's does not (you hear a beep noise if it does), so sometimes it'll look like you hit someone with a rocket, but from the server's point of view, you missed. To over come this you neeed to practice leading your targets and shooting ahead of where they are.
