That's right. My plumage is brighter than yours.

Update: The first Bungie User Reuinion will be July 7th, 2011.

This'll be one of my last threads/posts for quite a while, I believe, so I decided to go ahead and try and post up this post I've been thinking about for quite a long while.

Bungie.net, while admittingly having a few shortcomings in the names of some certain members, has been a starting line for many great friendships. I know that, since the day I've joined, I've made friends with some of the coolest people ever here.

The harsh thing is, people keep deciding or are forced to leave the site, due to some social reasons. Because of those very reasons, I myself have lost the chance to keep in touch with some of the great friends I've met through this site. It has actually happened way too many time to me, therefore, I've decided to pipe up this suggestion. . . .

Even if you leave this site for the time being, or are maybe leaving it permanently, I think anybody who has been a very contributing member to this site, maybe some of the great posters, some mods if they like, whoever, should have a day in which they can all return back to Bungie (even if its just for an hour) and reunite with old pals.

I believe that Bungie day (AKA July the 7th) of a particular year should also be a Bungie Reuinion Day. Basically, its a day where, in a couple of years, we all come back for a while (maybe in a Java chat or specific thread) and we see how eachother has been for the past Oh-so-many years. It'll be great to bring back some old well-respected faces, and a chance to relive some glory days.

How 'bout it? If the idea is liked, we can set a specific year for the reuinion.

(10:19:49 PM) Scruss: oh and pezza, i saw what you did to that cat
(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

I don't know who wouldn't welcome the idea. Maybe 7/7/07?

I like the idea, but if they left the site, how would they know which day it is?

Read about the Forgotten Spartan I Program
Butane: To protect the world from devastation!
sir_brilliant: To unite all people within our nation!
Rainman89: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
sir_brilliant: To extend out reach to the stars above!
SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!
Butane: James!
sir_brilliant: Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light
Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

I really like that idea, i will see you on 7/07 Echo :)

It would be a nice way to keep everybody together

Pshh. Good riddance!

Just joking :)
But the only problem I can see is that you usually leave Bungie.net because something else is more important. How are yuo going to remember Bungie Day if Bungie isn't important?

Wright in your planner, put it on a calendar, address it in your iPod. Whatever you can do to remember it. Though, it shouldn't be a hard task. Bungie Day is always on the seventh of July. I'd love to have the reuinion next year (7/7/07), but I'm afraid that in that time period there will be little or no change.

Therefore, I suggest a reuinion in maybe 2011. That's 5 years. or 2016. Ten. How ever people feel pleased. It'll be an eye opening experience for me for when I return, and the same should go for others. If we do it in ten years, then I'll be in my mid twenties with a lot to talk about and learn from others.

I miss them all too. I'm able to talk to 007 whenever I can on AIM since he still signs on, but I never do. Too awkward. And, Ciaran, I just got MSN messenger back. I'm on now.

I like that idea. Maybe we should have some kind of "uber-party" on 7-7-07.

I'm sure that that'll be happening albeit. It'll be a long awaited day in Bungie's future.

Seriously, don't take me seriously.

Underground Pleasure - aren't you a bit curious?

How are you suppose to bring back someone if they're already gone and never planned to return?

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

That's the problem. But I think this is still a good idea. Even though the members who are gone already won't know, we can still set it up for the people who are still here.

I think five years is a good time. It's long enough that things will be different, but no so long that we'll have forgotten.

Personally, I think I'll still be here. But it would be nice to have a day to see people again, just in case.

I guess five years it is, then. On July the seventh of the year 2011 will be the (un?)official Bungie user reuinion. We have five years to really work on the where we'll take it, whether its a Java chat or right here in the Septagon. Maybe we should get a council just to help out with it. Nothing big, just maybe 3 or 4 people.
