I'm trying to download CE for my computer, and it won't work. It gets to about 25%-35% finished downloading, then just stops and closes.

Anyone know what's wrong?

I'm pissed, I just tryed it again, no joy.

I had it on my old PC, and I miss it. :(

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

Do not bump your thread.

Im still unaware of the problem as I was having the same one myself. I got to download it, and I'm still not sure how, but it still doesn't work for me. Just keep trying.

Try going to a different site to download it. I believe Halomaps has it as well as the official website. The Gearbox website also has it.

Make sure you have the file that doesn't work too.

Yeah, the net's funny that way. Sometimes, streamed videos don't work, but look like they're fully loaded, but it's because your browser mised something. It should work of you try again. There's no reason why not, well not that I can think of besides the host having a problem... Yeah, HaloMaps usually works, In fact, I just downloaded CE off of there last week when i got my new computer. So yeah, try different sites, and if it STILL doesn't work, I can file transfer the sertup via Xfire(if you have an account). I can let my computer run while it transfers, and you should do the same, setting your speeds to unlimited. But don't try doing anything else during this process, it'll slow it down.

What? Play a game? FOR FUN???
This concept of fun confuses and infuriates me!

Also, if all else fails, the ask a friend to download it for you, and transfer it over via flash drive or a CD. Thats how I had got CE when I was in the dark ages of Dial-Up.

Thanks everybody. I've tried from multiple sites, HaloMap, FileSjack, Download.com...no joy.

If I downloaded from a different computer, then saved it to a flashdrive, how would I transfer it from my flashdrive to my harddrive?

Is your comp full? uhh...probably your internet connection is jumpy, and gets disconnected partway through.

You could probably try another computer with a more reliable connection. Then just burn it to a CD or to put it on a flash/jump drive simply put it in a USB port and go to my computer. Then move the Halo CE setup file to the jump drive. Then do the same thing on your other computer only move it from the jump drive to your desktop, my documents ect. wherever you want.

Well, just put it in the USB port, open the flashdrive on the computer, look in it to find the Halo CE zip file, cut and paste wherever, unzip and install. It requires you to have a legal Halo CD key, so use the one that came with your copy of Halo PC.

Hmmm....flash drive doesn't have enough memory, Xfire didn't work. Would burning it to a CD be the same process as the flash drive.

I'm getting the feeling that The Guardians don't like me....

Yep, drag to cd, then right click and select burn.

The guardians give people special powers
