Ah, you dudes shouldn't worry about the whole whether-or-not-H2-will-look-good-with-DX9-or-DX10-cards deal. I think H2 would look just fine with a DX9 card. DX10 would be better, but I don't think the latest DX9 cards would be crap.

At Minjita...

Yeah...er...again, with finding things in my post that didn't exsist...I'm not saying a long post was a bad thing, dude. You're looking into things too much now. I'm not out to bite your head off, but have a debate, as I have said before.

"Point one:" Ah, but I still put it in. You were accusing me at first of not putting it in at all, period, and now you're doubling back once more by saying I should've bolded it.

Dude, you need to get a sense of humor. Not to reiterate, see the above, but my comment on you was not an assumption, but a comment. For example, I could call me15ter an arrogant prick, but that would be a comment, an opinion, in other words. Which we are all entitled to.

Again, the paragraph above applies.

And finally, to bring it back full circle, between an outdated, 6 year old OS and a fully restructured OS, I'll take Vista.

I'll be damned if I reply to this thread again. ¬_¬

EDIT: Just to reclarify in case it doesn't seem too obvious: nowhere in my second-to-last line did I say EVERYONE should switch to Vista/that XP was a POS.

I have a sense of humour. It kinda dissapears when people whom think of themselves a bit high n mighty call me narrow minded. You cant insult someone then say get a sense of humour. Life doesnt work like that.

I have my own opinions of you, probably wrong, because its just based on forum posts, but I keep it to myself. Because Im intelligent enough to know that if I said it, youd take offence. And I certainly wouldnt ask you to get a sense of humour after.

Hey, take Vista. I truely dont care and hope it works well for you. Thats *your* choice.

But as I said before, I dont like people saying you have to move from XP. Which is the main reason I first posted in here. I never said it was *you* that said that. Obviously, your looking into my posts for things that arnt there.

H2V better look better than (or as good as) Crysis..I mean, they're making it a Vista only game, wherease Crysis already ooks outstanding on DX9 on Windows XP :-\

Although I feel OmniosSpartan is once again being an ass, he's absolutely right.

H2V is not DX10 only you -blam!- ing idiot!
Vista only*
Same difference, you need something to play a game that doesn't look all that much better than the console version.

EDIT: Isn't DX10 for Vista only anyway? Or have I heard wrong?and Crysis isn't on Xp it to is on Vista, please go back to New Mombasa, and leave us here.Crysis does not NEED Vista to play though, you can play it perfectly well on XP, that's what the original demos were played on. Guess what? They looked beautiful.

As for the H2V demo, it didn't look all more beautiful than Halo 2, which doesn't have graphics or physics even 1/5 as good as Crysis.

I'm sorry, I'm starting to sound like OmniosSpartan, but you are an idiot. Crysis does need Vista to operate. Those demos you saw, guess what? They were played on early builds of Vista. And they did look beautiful, I agree.

Also, I think H2 Vista will look significantly better than on the Xbox. In H2PC, we'll be able to play at resolutions of 1900 X 1200 (hopefully with X16 anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering) instead of a locked, low resolution of 640 X 480 like on the Xbox.

No, I'll go get a quote and link where the lead at Crytek says you don't need Vista to run it, but if you want the maximum performance, Vista is a must. Holdon.

What's interesting is that Yerli told us that if you have Windows Vista and an older DirectX 9 card, you should still see better performance with Windows Vista than Windows XP, even if the hardware remains unchanged. "DirectX 9 on Vista will run faster throughout due to the better device driver model...which is a great thing because just upgrading the operating system on the same rig, you get a better gaming experience," he said.

I would also like to make a statement - Crysis can run on DX9 cards. But it will still utilize DX10 drivers. Just thought I should make that clear. Like, if you have a GeForce 5500, which isn't a DX9 card (I believe), if you use it to play Quake IV, you'll need to install DX9 drivers, even if your card isn't DX9. DC Spartan got that confused a while ago!

All those screens from h2v aren't anything to compare to. Most graphical features haven't been implemented yet, and the one that have been still aren't (most anyway) fully functional / fine tuned.

graphics arent everything in a game...

Have you been paying attention? Windows Vista is a requirement for Crysis. Nowhere in that quote did it specifically state that Crysis could be run on Windows XP.

Besides, Gamespot isn't always completely reliable. Gamespot focuses on games, not computers.

Hm, if dual core is reccomended, can it utlilize two cores? Cauz that would make for some SICK performance.

I think they said the framerate crawled occasionally because they were only using a Dual Core on Windows XP with Dx9...so yeah, two dual cores would rock for it :)

I don't see what all the fuss is about I mean boo freaking hoo go out and get a new O.S.

"Oh n0 but w4it demonub I don't have the m0n3YZ0rz you dUmb $h1t OMG P00R FTL!!!. I d0n'7 h4v3 a j0b 4nd 1'm poor oh w0a is m3."

Guys my family isn't that well off either, TRUST ME ON THAT ONE....WE ARE PREETY CLOSE TO BEING ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR WELFARE.

OMG GUYS ITS CALLED FRIKIN' CHRISTMAS AND YOUR BIRTHDAY. $200 really is not all that much.

"Bu7 w41t D3m0nub, y0u are a f4gg07 l0s3rzorz with n0 life and joo c4n g3t it 3asy with 1 job"

WRONG!! I am getting my fill of trying to afford Vista and a new computer. I go to school during the day, come home for two hours, go to work, come home at about 8:30 and if it's not a maw gathering night I'm usually gone by 10:00. Then you think I get weekends..WRONG AGAIN!! I wake up at 9:00 on MY SATURDAY and got to a meeting EVERY SATURDAY, I leave that meeting and come back three hours later for another one, than another hour after that I go to work again and get home at midnight or one or so and I'm gone. By Sunday I'm to exhausted to do anything. I do that AND still make time for friends so it can be done.

So you see guys you are not the only people who have to work to get Vista. We all will have trouble getting Vista at first. You don't have to get a premium version...Get like a $100 version, it will still work just not as well.

I swear if I see one more person complain about Vista I am going to sufficate them with a leafblower.
