we r?

right click the halo icon, go to properties, and put this in the target (copy paste)

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -console

then hit the button next to the 1 button in game (on your own server) then hit sv_kick (player number here)

so it would look like this:

` sv_kick 3

but this can only work on your own server, it'd be nice to have an option to kick people from servers that aren't playing that are not on your server.

You mean you wanna kick idle players on a server that isn't yours?

Dalmedya's step by step guide to kicking AFKers
1) Get Rcon
2) Get the Rcon password for the server. This can usually be done by befriending the admins of said server.
3) USE Rcon to kick said AFKers.

I think what the guy means, is the addition of an auto AFK kick, i.e. an idle timeout.

Since bungie/microsoft were totally f**king stupid and didnt put one in, we wont ever get one now.

Morons tbh.

Wow, minjita, way to put it. I'm sure calling them that will really entice them to fix it in later games...

Auto AFK kick is in the Official Suggestion thread so hopefully they will put it in Halo2Vista. It would be, how should I say this... inconscienceable... wait let me think of a word I can spell.. irresponsible if they didn't include it in Halo2Vista.

They fully deserve it. The game was made (or ported, etc) by gearbox. Bungie had to monitor it and say approve the final version.

Now almost (perhaps all) every game over a certain age had this built in. Its not rocket science, and it was long discovered you would get morons that simply join and then carry on with life, leaving their PC on and ingame.

If they dont fix it in halo2V, more fool them. Im not going to be playing it for a long time, due to hopefully getting a house and the nasty cost of Vista in the UK. I doubt its going to effect sales, but it will certainly annoy the customers.

I think they had enough of that with Halo1pc and no useful patches (idle kick was asked for, but they ignored it) were made.
