Ok, I am new, as you call can see and I originally posted this question on The Septagon, which was apparently the wrong board for the subject. So now that I have been informed that I am, in fact retarded for not knowing where to post and since there is not search feature, I have gone back the past 15 pages to make sure I am not posting something that has already been asked (and I have read the faq’s on here as well). If I am, please forgive the mistake. And the only reason I am asking this question is because I bought a new TV for the specific purpose of playing Halo and ultimately Halo 2. The TV is widescreen, which I thought was a nice feature, and it supports 480p, 720p, and 1080i, so I had compared a lot of TV’s and I figured it was a good purchase. The problem that I have is that I can only get 480p to run in 16:9 and not 4:3. If I turn off 480p in Xbox’s dashboard, games will run in 4:3, but as is the case with Halo, the colors are not as vivid and the picture not as clear and what’s the sense of even having the TV if I can’t use the features it offers? And I have contacted Microsoft and Sony and neither are able to help me, so I have to live with things the way they are. Sorry that was so long…but it brings me to the question/topic I originally posted:
I read an interview on ign with Pete Parsons where he stated that Halo 2 would run in widescreen. I am posting this topic because I asked several people from Bungie, at fanfest, if in fact Halo 2 would run in widescreen and they were either unable to give a definitive answer, or they said no. So I am wondering if anyone can tell me whether or not it does run in 16:9? Thank you.
