every time I try to download the update, it says a file access problem occurred. You are not on windows as a a user with admin powers (reworded my way)

How can I fix this?

I recommend you read the stickies, even though they may not help you on this one, they have a wealth of information you should check out.

Okay, your Windows user account obviously doesn't have admin powers, as you mentioned, so do this (assuming you have XP):

Click the "Start" menu.

Click "Control Panel".

Click your account. Then click "Change the account type".

Select "Computer Administrator", then click "Change account type". Voila, it should work.

It's all quite easy, it's not that hard. I probably got those instructions wrong, but whatever. Good luck.

I think you need to be on an administrater's account to change an account type though.

Well, then obviously you have to get an administrator account to do it! One of your parent/guardians could do it, maybe?

Do you mean you get the same problems downloading the update?
You can manually download the update from here. Try that, its Hot-Fix v1.07 in case you didn't know. Just download and run. It should work.

Don't bump your thread or double post. That's spam, and if you spam, we're less inclined to help you.

Also, you can find the Custom Edition update here.
