what i dont get is why some of u guys are so worried about running out of ammo with both dual weapons when all u have to do is press y and switch to a secondary weapon. if u dont have a secondary weapon reloaded then u arent that smart now are u
Maybe this is a misinterpretation on my part, but I was under the assumption that one could only carry two weapons, and if one were to duel wield, then, well, they'd have two weapons already. I don't know, maybe my confusion is due to my endless nights of playing Halo, but the thing is, I've been playing Halo ever since it came out, yet I can't get enough of it. I just never seem to get tired of playing with the grunts and hearing Sgt. Johnson cuss them out. :-D
Watch the demo again. When Joe kills the elite while dual weilding, he picks up ammo for the BR without picking it up. He was carrying a Needler and SMG and had a BR as his secondary weapon.
This from the fact notice the secondary weapon.
You can't melee attack or throw grenades while dual wielding. You can stop dual wielding at any time by pressing melee attack (discards extra weapon) or by pressing Y to switch to your secondary weapon.
*Slaps head* Of course! I shouldn't have forgotten that part of the demo. I must have watched it like hundreds of times by now (yeah, I'm a Halo nerd like that :-D), I should've remembered it. Thanks for the clear up! *Goes back to the rockslide battle in Halo*
Oh, and if you guys would like a massive battle with many of the covenant in one place (I'm talking 30+), there is a way to set it up. In the 2nd level (Name: Halo), just go past the tunnel part and go to the area with a lot of rocks, a plateau, and a marine with a sniper rifle on it. Trigger the first covenant dropship, then leave and rescue the other marines in the other areas to pass the time, allowing the other dropships to drop. Don't worry, by the time you're done with the other areas and head back (either the left or right entrance) of the rockslide area. When you arrive, you'll have a nice welcome party with plenty of your covenant friends to say hi to. You can either head to the plateau and try to survive the attack or practice your sideswiping skills with the warthog. I'm sorry for rambling on like this in explaining how to set it up, but I thought I'd let the people who don't know about this, something that could turn that spark of Halo into a bright flame. I got this information from halo.bungie.org. ^_^
