I think you should burn your halo disc for wanting something this skill free, host dependent, repetative, stupid, and overall bad. I hope you burn in the hottest fires of hell for presenting such a terrible idea. In conclusion, jesus died for everyone but you.

ILNI - Legit Nation. We're cool like that.

Bungie is a company. The company makes the game. The annoying teenagers buy the game and complain thinking they know all about game development and how things should be run instead of leaving the game design to real professionals doing their thing.

Halo3Planet, the place for all things Halo 3..

Need help finding skulls, make sure to go here.

That sounds like a good idea, but it would probably have to be implemented by MIcrosoft. And if Bungie was able to do it themselves, it would definately not be in Halo 2. It would take too long to make and just wouldn't be worth it. It might be in Halo 3, though. Try posting in the H3 thread, and see what kind of reactions you get.

Wait, KSI, do you mean people vote on this website or on live. Because if it is on live, then it is a huge programming job which would take a lot of time that could be better spent working on Halo 3 and other projects. If you mean on this website, that wouldn't work because a very small portion of the Halo community even looks at this site. It would not be a good representation of the public view.

Do not panic, or you will fail.

KSI is off of blacklisting? *Party ends*
Oh well, KSI, here is a tip, don't reply to your created thread 38 times, and maybe you shouldn't argue with the overlord, and you'll never get blacklisted again. :(

Edit:Actually, KSI posted 68 times in a thread that had 170 posts. It also involved many posts from Achronos and from [i]7 ninjas

Ok, i get what you mean now. But still, it would not be a proper representation of what the community wants. I don't think there would be many more people going to that website then there are people going to this one. The only way to do a voting would be in the game itself, which might happen in Halo 3.

Actually, Achronos tore you up. Why don't you go back and read that whole read. It is still quite entertaining. Oh wait, I don't think you even read it in the first place.

I'm sure people at Bungie studios already know what people want for the most part by checking into the .net forums. The playlists are varied as it is. We already have Team Carnage which is community inspired and based. Bungie has done an excellent job with regards to MatchMaking. The last thing we need is a bunch of whiners and misers ruining what is already excellent in my opinion. That is why we have the option to go Customs. Instead of ruining MM why not build a bigger and better Custom Games network.

They already gear the playlists based on what is popular and what isn't. Infact, this thread answers it's own question... the gamers DO decide what is done in matchmaking. Every list removed has been a result of the GAMERS never playing it. Every list that has been added lately has been a direct product of exactly what goes on here in the forums, if Bungie feels the need to satisfy their requests.

End of thread, man. Think a little deeper before you walk into something like this.

Turning over the ability to make gameplay decisions (without testing) to the limited community here on Bungie.net would be disasterous. I am all for us having input, but we have that now. That's what this very forum is for, after all. The very fact that you could create this thread is a testament to that.

That being said, I agree with the person who said that there wouldn't be any more people coming in to vote than there are now. Also, you wouldn't be able to show the results, as this would just create even larger flame wars. Even if they did all the work to set it up, it wouldn't make that much of a difference.

Yes, you would probably get more hardcore gamers to come here and vote to make MM into something they like more. But this would just alienate the casual players. You need to get the point that this game, like almost EVERY GAME MADE, is for casual play. The fact that they use it for tournaments doesn't change that fact. Pro players are in the minority, and they already have a system in place to play the game the way they want.

Casual players won't come here. It's too much work. Of my group, I am the only one that ever comes here. They rely on me to tell them what's going on with the game. This wouldn't change with your voting system, as they are casual gamers. Changing the gearing of the game away from casual gameplay would alienate them, and that just doesn't make good business sense.

Now, if you are talking about an in game function over Live for Halo 3, I would be all for it. The system is already in place to limit votes there, and it would be readily accessible even for casual gamers each time they played. The results of something like that would be much more indicative of the community as a whole.

What is your motivation for this particular suggestion?

In general, anyone who has a significant interest in these issues has the ability to influence them using logical reasoning and discussion. Suggesting that we rely on something as lucid as votes when we can aquire feedback in a far more significant way seems a little silly to me.

This isnt about game design, its about gameplay... bungie made a great game, i simply think that there are better choices to be made, I mean really who doesnt want somthing changed? And this is the way for us as a community to get theses changes to make MM more well liked.

No not really its there choice with some feedback. They made the game so they can decide what they want to happen= Carnage playlist

I keep seeing people say Team Carnage over and over again, and I would just like to point out, that I never saw anyone asking for that as a playlist... correct me if im wrong, but thats just me. Moving on, if games are removed based on the usage stats, then why are games like multi-team still on there?

As for N0Fs question concerning my motives, IDK what he means by this, but this is a straight forward question, I'm just asking if this would be a better way to make changes.

Lastly, I'm seeing people on here say that their feedback on this site changes MM, and that being said, I also see people in other threads saying that opinions from here are useless because this forum doesnt accuratly reflect the people who play MM. So which one is it, are the polls on here accurate, even if you dislike the results? I think I'll leave that one at that.

That was bungie decision to make the team carnage playlist. They decided to have he bungie community to make a playlist and soon someone else well

FYI: The polls on the fourms are inaccurate because the can be easily minipulated Ninja said they dont look at them
