It is a RAM problem. How much RAM do you have?

Heyyo,

Hmm, odd, you have the ram... or maybe your computer isin't registering it all? try right-clicking your "my computer" icon, and select p"properties." after that, it should say your cpu n' ram n' operating system, if it says 512mb ram, then it could be a virtual memory error... make sure for your virtual memory settings it's set to "let windows decide," cause it does a gj and putting it to a custom size won't affect your framerates that much...

Heyyo,

Like I suggested in the other thread, could be a lack of HD space, how much free do you have? And how is it setup? did you allow it to have partitions bigger than 2gb? (by default windows does allow it, but some people turn it off for some odd reason you can only change this when you're first formatting n' putting on windows, so unless you custom tinkered with your HD then this probably ain't the problem...).

That would be my first guess as well. That or a virus. It sounds like some other program is grabbing space that is allocated to Halo, which normal programs typically don't do. If you don't already have an up-to-date virus scanner, download the free version of AVG Antivirus. Remember, simply having an antivirus software package is completely useless if you don't update the definitions. Same goes for any spyware detector, which you should download and use as well.

For spyware
SpyBot Search and Destroy

A firewall
ZoneAlarm

Heyyo,

Me, I personally hate zonealarm due to the lack of control over it. I use Sygate personal firewall. MUCH more configurable. You can tell it which programs can use the net, what ports to leave open/closed, what IP's are allowed full access, etc.

for spyware I use ad aware, but spybot's great too. ;)

i just think your computer is too slow to play it sorry to tell u that. but at least have 512 mb of ram and 2.4 ghz and at 800mhz of front side bus. so if u dont have that then halo will be really glitchy and really laggy. so there ya go that is about all i have to say. so if u dont like it then u can shuve it up your -blam!- lol. just joking
