I have read a lot of threads and posts that lament the decline of either the forums or Bungie's games. For a long time, we kept on reading about the search feature and the next project without seeing any results.

Changes in B.net seem to happen much faster now: search feature, new forum, reviving dead forums, new game announcements, private group news article improvements, new blacklist features, partnerships with other companies . . . Life is good. There are more ninjas and there are also more news articles on the B.net main page.

What do you think? Are things getting better? Are they the same? Or is Bungie.net going downhill?

The blacklist interface is now easier to use. There is also a default message that can be used in blacklists.

I believe Bungie.net is doing as it always has... But I think some of the topics or views of pepople on here are being overlooked by moderators.. Some guy walks into a thread talking about how he's a legit level 37, and he BXRs? Is that not promoting cheating? It's all too obvious.

Maybe it's not my place, but a ban on "Faux Pros" would clean this place up a bunch..

However, for the most part, I think Bungie.net is a great place still.

Now keep in mind I haven't been here as long as others. But from what I've heard from those who have been here, and from an extensive use of the Search Feature, I'll say:

Bungie.net is the same.

It's a bit of a cycle. There are periods where it's crazy, periods when it's normal. There are times when the members act like angels, and times when they make Achronos want to pull his hair out :-)

For the most part, this place is fine. We're about to enter a new era: The New Hawtness v.2 and when Halo 3 is released, I think we're going to be seeing a lot of changes on the surface, but the core of the community shall remain the same.

I'll say this though: The future of Bungie.net is looking..........interesting, to say the least :-)

Eh, he looks about like he does in his Avatar. Even more lightning in real life, though. The artist toned it down a bit for forum use. Wouldn't want to scare people off now, would they?

News? Podcasts? Machinima? Active forums? Competitions? Jaffa Cakes!? OMG!
Thee Warriors!

Best. Mod. Ever.

I'd say gradually improving. It seems improvements are slow in coming, but are fired at you in bursts. Quick, slow, slow, quick.

Ah, look at the lonely people...

I heart Bungie.net. But, it'll become even more awesome when Hawtness v2.0 comes around. Be prepared.

That pretty much hits the proverbial nail on the proverbial head...er...proverbially.

The site definitely looks great, and I have to admit it's getting better from what I remember. But it's not like Achronos can program something to make all of the idiots go away and never return.

Hypnotic messages that display on the computer screen, anyone?

I'll echo some of the sentiment here and repeat the beleif I've stuck with for some time. It's pretty much the same as it has always been. Just sometimes people wear different hats now and again.

I wouldn't say improving or getting worse.. I'd say different instead. All of the new changes that came/are coming to the site are really making the place feel different.

Depends on what mood I'm in. One day it could suck, one day it could be the same it's always been.

Good point. I think Bungie is doing what they can to make things better.

I wouldnt really say its getting better, but its not getting worse. I still miss the days when the moderators replied to locked threads on why they were locked

I thnk b.net is growing worse. Some major spammers are starting to come in. PP as I call him, has already made more than 80 accounts and just spams and trolls for hours a day.

It will soon get worse.
