I'm sure most of us have been labelled as an aimbotter before. I don't mind the other common insults, but when you're on a server filled with 16 guys and someone is convinced you're cheating, your name can get a pretty bad reputation very quickly.
My most frequent response is "just because someone is better than you are does not mean they are a cheater" but this NEVER sits well with them. A lot of the time I try to ignore them, but for the life of me I just can't do it.
I can remember one specific individual, Hybrid, who was actually a half-decent player, but went off the deep end after I killed him a few times in a row. Comments like...
"omg okay player."
"your a nub."
"uninstall halo."
"right now. seriously. uninstall halo."
"stop gheying me."
"play me 1v1 okay player."
constantly for like 5 minutes before he finally quit.
Generally speaking, the decent, experienced players can tell you're not botting, but I still hate being labelled as one by the newbies, even if they're only trying to get a rise out of me.
How do you guys deal with the rampant insults that run wide in halo?
Let's hear some of your stories dealing with the ignorant and immature.
