I'm with DivX, if I had it my way. I wouldn't buy either. They're just not worth the investment. But if you must. I'd go with HIS Radeon X1300. Just simply becase the core and memory clocks are high. The interface and RAM used in this case is simply negligable. But if I can convince you to, wait till next year before you buy a new card because DX 10 will be out and DX 9 cards will be cheaper for sure, so you can get more of a bang for your buck.

Go with HIS Radeon X1300. Much better deal, and a better performing card at that.

The X1300 is crap, for 30 dollars more, get a 7600gt.

You can compare graphics card performance here.

Yes, but seeing that both his wanted cards are for PCI, not for PCI-E, it's no use if he buys the 7600gt, unless he buys a new motherboard, which will cost him more than just "30 bucks".

^^^^^ What he said. Do you even know anything about computers? The link says they're PCIe, but you thought it was only available in pci didn't you? And the X1300XT is alot better than the X1300.

Best Card to get for the price is the X1800XT or the 7800GTX both good card's But I like ATI alot better so I would go with the X1800XT. But all you really need for Halo PC is 6800 or better.. that would only cost you about 100 buck's that's very cheap but once you play halo PC ur gonna wanna play css cuz that is the best game out at the time and will be for the next 3 years prolly :)

Whoops, read it wrong, I missed the small "e" after PCI, I really have to stop skimming through links and books...

Sorry guys, a bit of a misunderstanding...

also the reason that i'm not going for a card that costs more money is its a birthday present and my parents know next to nothing about computers so they told me to pick one but gave me a budget of ~$75. trust me if i had my way i'd get the $18,000 processor that kim pointed out.

btw i haerd that quality also has to do with the ammount of pixil pipelines. the X1300 has 4 and the X1300XT has 12. or does it not make much of a difference?

this is for for our desktop now though. my parents are going to buy me a laptop soon so what i'm, doing is waiting till vista AND DX10 becomes the standard and then they can get it for me :P

It is one of the leading factors.
