Well, you could tell us your specs. Because then maybe we could figure out what the problem is.

You have little RAM, a bad processor, and a horrible graphics card. I reccomend you upgrade.

yea. thats like a 1990s processor speed. and i have integrated graphics and it doesnt give me that error. your RAM is fine though to play halo and your HD is big enough. you just need better graphics card and better processor.

Big deal, darek. He's got an integrated chipset, not a magic pick-up truck for a GPU.

Besides, FEAR is well optimized for PC, and ImSpartacus can play it on his craptastic PC.

You think that sucks?! I've got 312 mb Ram, 0.8 Ghz processor, 16MB Geforce 2 MX, and a 21 GB hard drive. When I play Halo, people turn yellow when I shoot them.

I think the main problem is the video card. The processor is fine. I have:
P4 1.7 ghz
768 MB PC2100 RAM
ATi Radeon 9250 128 MB ...PCI version....
Regular Parallel ATA hard drive

I play Halo at 800x600 resolution perfectly.

Wow, 800 megahertz and you can play a game. I'd be suprised if you could even run Warcraft 2 on that machine...

Yeah, I mean most games nowadays range between >700 MHz through 4 GHz of Hardrive Space. That 800 MHz Hardrive of your might have enough for one more crappy game before everything crashes.
