Go back to sleep...

Name off your graphics card please.
Also because of your graphic's cards crappyness, it cannot handle that kind of an old mans beating.
Therefore hindering the graphics and other effects of the game.

It says it needs a 32MB card.

Of course, if I were you, I'd just take the no-guess way and get a 256 (or a 512 if you can find one).

WOW, that was very fast. Is a video card the same thing as a graphics card?

Hello! How is everybody feeling? Anyway, I wanted to ask for some help with halo. I have Halo: Combat Evolved for my PC, but my graphics card is apparently not advanced to run it at full capacity. The uniforms are ALL grey. The master cheif's armor is grey with no luster (shine) whatsoever. His visor is pitch black, no luster. Nothing shines, and there is no blood. Same with the covenant armor, the uniforms are all grey. Trust me, i've double and triple checked the settings, but the luster, blood, and shadow options are grey. I am 99% sure it is my graphics card. I want to know what kind of graphics card I need for Halo. I want it to run at full with NO lag at at least 800x600 resolution. Please help me, when I shoot a grunt I want to see his blood splattered all over the wall. Isn't that every man's dream? Please help me, I would be very happy to run halo at full capacity. Thank you for reading and considering this, please post replies to help a fellow Halo player out. Thanks a million.

Next time, post this in The Maw. We'll be more than happy to help you out.

The patch you need is right here. (Snagged from K121 Widowmaker's sig.)

I'm pretty sure you got that a bit wrong, more money=more problems. I don't like hippidy hop but I recognize a Puff Daddy, or whatever he calls himself these days, song when I hear one.

To find out what card you have, right click on your desktop and select properties. Go to Settings->Advaced->Adapter and post up the information in the Adapter Type box. Posting up the information in the Adapter Information might be useful as well.

Anyway, when you say the options are greyed out, that's actually a good thing. Halo is keeping you from turning them on lest you suffer grave performance consequences or system instability.

Go to Start -> Run -> Type in "dxdiag" without the quotes, click the Display tab, and post the name of the actual GPU. VRAM (the MB on a video card) only really matter to a certain extent, and really shouldn't be all that big of a part in your purchase decision.

You can max Halo out relatively cheaply these days, how much are you willing to spend? Also, you need to know what kind of expansion slots you have on your motherboard.

It is. Made by Intel hisself.

Free downloads are illegal if, say, what you're trying to download is being legally sold by someone else because they own whatever 'it' is, ie. music piracy.

Free downloads are legal if the creator of the download isn't trying to make any money from it or potentially damaging the original owner's ability to make money. ie. Mothergoat's Anxiety CE mod.
