I'm worried that as soon as Halo 2 is released in the US, spoilers are going to be splashed all over the forums, ruining the storyline for people who haven't got that far in the game yet. This problem will be especially hard on the people in the UK who have to wait until the 11th to get Halo 2. In those 6 days, some hardcore fans could have completed a significant portion of the game, and come here to brag about it. And worse, spoil the surprise for the rest of us. I fear not even the Halo PC forum will be safe from spoilers.

For this reason I intend to vacate the forum until about a week after Halo 2's UK release. By then I should be aware of at least some of Halo 2's early revelations. I wonder how many of you will do likewise in order to presurve the surprises of Halo 2, or how many will intentionally come to spoil the surprise for themselves through impatience? I hope there won't be many of you selfish enough to post secrets and so on within the first week or so.

Still about 2 weeks left until my forum holiday begins then... *sniff* I'll miss you guys...

What you say may come to pass, but I tend to think that people will be completely absent from the forums for awhile. At least I'm intending to be. :D Of course, I imagine there will be those who feel the need to come here and gloat as soon as they beat H2, just like half a million other people, but if people are considerate they will put a "***Possible Spoilers Ahead***" in their post title. Nice topic, though. I had never even considered that, despite what was happening over at HBO.
